When i first bought this game i was unsure whether it would live up to what i wanted. But after some dot eating and ghost chasing exercise, i wasn't disappointed.
There are 4 games in the one cartridge. Pac-man, Pac-attack, Pacmania and pac-man arrangement. If you are a Pac-man addict, you'd love this game, and if you're not, i still believe you should have a go in the dot eating scheme of things.
My favourite is Pac-man arrangement, where you don't only have to deal with bigger and badder ghosts, but also a variety of delightful mazes. And tie this in with the catchy tune you are sure in for a treat.
I was a Pac-man addict, but now after playing this game i am a Pac-manoholic. My advice is buy it and enjoy!!!

This should be an essential game for your Gameboy, but more appreciated by those who played it during their childhood, like me. It poses some fantastic challenges and very cleverly worked enemy placements, so that when you go to jump somewhere, their will always be something in your way! Such little challenges appear in and out, but the real sense of achievement is at World 8-1, the last world.
For those who suggest you cannot save/continue, they obviously haven't been playing long enough to remember 2 old cheats :)
On the title screen, hold down 'B' and press Start. Bob's your Uncle, it magically starts off from the beginning of the last world you were in! (ie 4-1, 6-1)

Why Nintendo decided to resurrect this as a "NES classic" is beyond me. Actually it isn't - it enabled them to make money without expending any effort, which seems to have become a speciality of theirs in the handheld gaiming market of late - but it is true to say that this does not show them at the peak of their game. Firstly, though, I must give the game its fair dues. It was revolutionary in its time and laid the foundation for perhaps the greatest gaiming series of all time (the relative shoddiness of some recent instalments notwithstanding), with - in "Link to the Past" and "Ocarina" - arguably the two best games ever. Yet, judged on its own merit, this is disappointing stuff. It's hard to work out what you have to do next - though this ... Read More:

There are some really great games out there that no one seems to appreiciate, this is one of them. Mario vs Donkey Kong didn't seem to be noticed. even being bundled with a special super mario Game Boy Advance SP wasn't helping, which is a real shame.
The general storyline is that Donkey Kong wants to buy a new "Mini Mario" toy, but when he arrives at the store they are sold out. Donkey Kong then goes ape *ahem* and attempts to steal all the Mini Marios from the toy company.
This challenging puzzler is a great game with heaps of Mario charm, and if you stick with it long enough you're sure to get to the super-hard +Levels. Don't ignore it, buy it!

I just want to make sure everyone knows that, unlike what the last reviewer mentioned, the DKC series DID NOT make use of the SuperFX chip. All the graphics were pre-rendered before being put into the game, and the fact the DKC games don't use the SuperFX chip is simply confirmed by comparing the connectors in the underside of the orginal snes cartridges with a snes game that did use the FX chip, such as Yoshi's Island. However the graphics, gameplay and music is all perfect. I brought this game in 1995 when it first came out, and i still play it to this day, I cannot reccomend it enough.

Donkey Kong is a straight conversion of the Nintendo NES classic and is now being re-released on the GBA as part of the NES classics range. However this is another retro dissapointment. Revisiting this so called classic is a dissapointing and frustrating experience. It is very difficult and simple. The game is just a straight conversion so there is nothing new to it. Although part of a budget release the game still doesn't warrant it's price and should of been bundled together with some of the other games on this range. If you are desperate to play this game I suggest Animal Crossing on the Gamecube because many of the NES classic games can be unlocked on this innovative Nintendo release, including this game. Overall I strongly reccommend that you don't revist this game ... Read More:

This collection of games is exactly what it says it is - exact copies of the arcade games Galaga, Galaxian, Ms. Pac-Man, Dig-Dug and Pole Position. I initially thought that the games would suffer from the small screen, but you quickly get used to it and on Ms. Pac-Man you can choose to have a scrolling screen that greatly increases the size of the characters without confusing you too much.
Galaga is the gem for me - still playable after all these years and never bettered in my opinion. It is perfect in every way, with ever changing challenging stages interrupting the intensifying alien attacks. Galaxian however is hopelessly dated now, being nothing more than a jazzed up space invaders-type game, as is Pole Position - if you've played any of the current driving games, ... Read More:

I played TETRIS DX for about 2 years (seriously) because of the fact i could compete aganist my sister. but when i brought and played tetris worlds i was mortified! it was the worst thing i have ever brought. no scoring or no top 5 list makes this game pointless. games are supposed to get better as the years pass- not worst!!! if you've got tetris dx, my advice is to carrying on it. if you haven't got tetris dx, buy tetris dx!

It has taken a while to find but this version is a great copy of the original pacman scrfeen and sounds. Don't waste money on those little plastic pacman games sold at Christmas time, get a GBA and this game for some real nostalgic fun!

I love these old classic games. Many an hour was spent in the local Arcade feeding in the 10p and 50p to play these games. Now, over twenty years later they have been released for the GBA.
The sounds are spot on! The graphics look the part. But it is too fast!!! The games seem like they are running nearly three times the speed they do on the arcade version. For example on Missle Command you have to place your cursor over where the bombs are 'Going' to be. On the GBA version you literally have to put it right on their noses. On Tempest you usually have a chance to shoot the enemy fire before it gets to the top of the grid, but not in the GBA Turbo Version. Battlezone is half playable apart from the screen play area is larger, and of course the enemies are faster. Read More:
