When I bought My Game Boy Advance, I knew what I needed before I even took it out of the box...Light!! While having a nice desk lamp or even Mr. Sun to light up the Gaming experience, come Night Time, especially on the go, light can be fairly sparse, that's where this handy little accessory proudly raises its head in triumph!! Not only does it magnify the already nicely sized Game Boy Advance Screen, It lights It Up, to allow you to carry those gaming sessions long into the night (and have nice sore thumbs), with a handy little built in lamp!! An excellent purchase, for all those who like some night time gaming!! Highly Recommended!!!
This was supplied with the travel pack and has 2 bulbs that light the bottom of the screen whilst the top is left in relative darkness. Tricky for the little ones to open and remove. Mine has come apart on several ocassions. Not made very well at all.

Well I personally think that this product by Logic 3 is definatly the best of it's kind for the purpose it serves. It's got brighter lights than Madcatz & joytech of the same type of product. The magnification may be the same tho.But it's cost is the most out of the 3 that I know of,but thats nothing I don't exspect when you buy the best 1.
I did a minor light mod to my own using a low-power ultra-bright blue tinted LED. What a difference! It lasts probably about 2 hours less than using a normal screen. The LED you get with it is VERY power consuming, but its a generally good idea.
Having said that, if you've got a GCN and the £40, its INFINATELY better to invest in a gameboy player as you can see it in the pitch black on your TV screen (play GBA games on a 28inch TV, nuff said)
I bought this light as I was fed up of constantly having to stand by a light in order to use my gameboy. The floodlights are a good idea as there are two lights that can be adjusted to any angle. This means that glare from the bulb is restricted and the player can see the screen clearly. The disadvantage is the fact that the light is bulky and needs batteries of its own in order to work. However, lights that use the gameboy's batteries plug into the same socket that other cables use which restricts a player. This means that this light is ideal for those who often play two player games as the cable socket is free.

This, umm THING is useless, maybe its cheap and whatever but the light is terrible, it covers a tiny bit at each bottom corner of the screen. The magnifier is ok i suppose, but definatly not worth the trouble!

A well designed and very useful accessory for the Game Boy Advance. As the GBA does not have a backlit screen, the light magnifier helps in those situations where a light source is either not available or is dim. Visibility on the screen is greatly improved, and it makes it much easier to play. The colour schemes are also great, suiting both purple and clear blue in this case. Battery life is good, and overall the next best accessory available second to the link cable. The only criticism one could have is to say it increases the size of the Game Boy Advance - which might defeat the purpose for some?

This basically gives a good source of light at the top of the screen, but could do with another bulb at the bottom of the unit to light the bottom of the screen more. Fits well and folds flat to the screen to protect the screen when not in use. Easy for the younger ones to remove as it clips over.
