... More fun than it should be or could ever be expected. Great humour and it doesn't tarnish the star wars name (unless your a super-star wars movie nerd) As a star wars fan i think i can say that. This is just a really enjoyable game especially if played with a friend.

...and I'm not even just saying that: Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu voted FFX as the best game of all time, closely followed by FFVII. It is certainly my favourite game and even after seven years I still find myself captivated by the lush scenery and sweeping vistas. As far as I'm concerned, this was a breakthrough game displaying what could really be done with a good graphics engine and a colossal team of people and I didn't see anything with such impressive visuals until FFXII, and I still felt disappointed by the 'town. desert. town. desert' monotony of that. The characters are a creation of genius, each with their own engaging background and individual personalities, and I found myself empathising deeply with them as they faced their various ... I enjoyed this game at first, but I soon realised I was doing the same thing over and over. The story in this game seems quite good, if a bit odd. Sometimes a character will come out off no where with no explaination.
I really enjoy the new battle system. It's bassically just like it always was with the massive difference of it being in real time. This means you can hold down the "Fleeing" button as soon as you see an enemy you don't won't to fight, and avoid him without any hasle. There are new things like Lisences, Gambits, and monster hunts. They're fun but the main gameplay never changes and I feel like I've wasted my money.

I am very much into the stealth games, and it has to be said, MGS and Splinter Cell are at the forefront of the genre. Having owned the first Splinter Cell I felt like checking out the competition and I have to say I was very impressed. They are both very similar yet manage to set themselves apart from eachother.
Firstly, Splinter Cell's use of shadows and silence drew me in but with MGS there perhaps isn't as much pressure resting on this.
MGS has to be one of the most visually stunning games for the PS2. The realsim is immense e.g. When you come inside from the raining outdoors you leave footprints which guards are actually suspicious of. I feel that the storyline somewhate ruins the game, it is very unrealistic towards the end and left me feeling a little confused ... Read More:

I really don't understand the praise heaped upon this series, maybe it's just not for me, but god is it overrated.
The graphics are great, but the character design is pretty uninspired, the developers have been given a chance to go absolutely mental in a fairly underused aesthetic (Greek mythology) and artistically, it all feels like such a 7/10 effort. The combat is good in a button mashy could-do-it-with-your-eyes-closed way and the rpg elements are.....great, not because they're anything special but simply because the game would be awful were they not present, the puzzles are nothing that hasn't been done long before and far better.
The camera angle takes some getting used to, it sort of holds you at arms length rather than immersing you in the action...and the theme ... Read More:
