As an owner of a PS3 and PSP, there were a few games I've been waiting for anxiously this year - GTA IV, MGS4 and strangely enough, Lego Indiana Jones.
Fortunately this has been released just in time for the summer and Big Brother. It means er indoors is happy watching the antics of a load of celeb wannabees, where as I can slip on my headphones and enjoy this baby.
So, first things first, you probably know by now it's a "sequel" to the Lego Star Wars game(s) and pretty much follows the same mould. There are 18 levels, 6 for each of the 3 original films (Raiders, Temple of Doom and Last Crusade) and each follows the story, interspersed with some quite funny videos to move things along from one bit to the next.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great game. Stunning cut scenes. What I have seen so far, Ifrit looks really good, with full cgi grafix.
I am about 5 hours into this game. So far I can't add people to my team, just Zach. You get limit breaks popping up in the battle.
I haven't found any shops yet.
The music is one huge let down. Instead of music we all love from Final Fantasy 7. Apart from a few short bursts of mashed up original music. There is Horrid heavy metal thrash techno music which continues throughout the game, in every level. The boss and battle mucis is much the same rubbish too. It's truly awful. So turn your volume down.
Th battles are way to hard as you don't have any shops at the ... Read More:

Although a little short and a tiny bit frustrating (q.t.e event button notice switching from l/r tapping to analog for example) this game is well worth investing for newbies and g.o.w fans alike.
i had not played the ps2 incarnations but have purchased them on the strength of this amazing title.
a breath of fresh air for the psp which is becoming mired at the moment with crap games or rehashes - god of war is beautifully presented in any way you look at it and im hoping we see more.

I actually imported an English language, region free version of this from Hong Kong months ago, and i was really excited about it. Let's get to the point shall we, good things first. The cut-scene graphics are insane. No other way to put it. Just incredible. The game play is pretty good too, easy to control, and the materia leveling system is an interesting change from the original FFVII. That's about it.
Now, the story is, regardless of what everyone else says, rubbish. I honestly don't understand how any intelligent person could think otherwise. It's Hollywood-esque idiot fodder filled with shallow, two-dimensional characters, minimal dialogue (replaced almost entirely by ridiculous, if mindlessly entertaining fight scenes) and has no emotional ... This game retains most of the fun and the features of the PS2 version. Some bits are missing, like the commentary but so what. Really good fun and addictive. The fewer buttons actually make it more fun!

This is a interesting game which goes a bit over the limits with killing people but if you dont like killing this game could be classified as a driving game.

I've played this game and basically all that happens is that you get told your some kind of legendary warriors and plonked(thats right, plonked) into a world to figure out what to do. Practically nadda to tell you what to do and absolutely MINIMUM storyline to get enveloped in. So if it's the great storylines of the latter games in the Final Fantasy series your interested in(like me), this game really isn't for you.
Im mainly writing this just to clarify this isn't the first Final Fantasy on a hand held (like stated in a previous review), and that FF 3,4,5, and 6 are available for the GameBoy SP/Advance and DS. I would recommend 4,5 and 6 if your thinking of investing in some retro FF (5 having a similar job based battle system to this one).
