Illusion of Time is an action RPG in a similar vein to the likes of Secret of Mana and Terranigma. Unlike most SNES RPGs the free roaming element of the game is virtually non-existent, instead the developers have opted for taking the character from one town to another without ever returning. Although for some this may seem to linear for an RPG it actually means that the developers have more time to craft the distinctive storyline. Virtually every location in the game is stunning, memorable and well designed.
