Ah, Grand Theft Auto... If you enjoyed riding your bike through GTA:San Andreas, swinging your katana or your chainsaw, going on a rampage with your tank, wasting oodles of money on clothes and stuff, flying a plane, investing or bodybuilding... then stick to GTA:San Andreas. Because all of this has been removed from GTA IV. While graphically it is quite a feast (initially at least, it does rather wear off after some time), and the physics engine has been improved (car damage is now much more diverse; but prepare to spend a lot of time watching your car spin out of control, even when driving at a walking pace), interactivity has taken a huge step backwards. I have had this console for over 2 years now and it just keeps getting better. I'm not going to get into all the details like other reviews but am a gaming fan that loves all types of games ( have a wii too ), just here to say if you are even considering it - buy it and enjoy.

Now that I have been playing this game for several months I feel I can write an honest review of it. Although I can sum the review up in one word: mediocre.

Halo is a franchise that somehow managed to build up a massive following and ever since Microsoft have been pumping money into the franchise to claim all our cash. Well, I don't mind paying lots of money for a game that is top quality, which this clearly advertises itself as, but there are so many flaws. Nothing major, just niggling discrepancies.

only recently i realised for £99 you do not get the game as well, i anticpated the set would cost £100 and wasnt going to buy it but thought what the hell you only live once, well now i know you do not get the game in this box set ill wait till its cheap in about 5 years time or not at all and to buy everyhing seperate is worse for £140 i can nearly buy a whole new next gen console

Well, I would have to agree with pretty much all the previous reviews, the positive ones mention all the good points and the negative ones mention pretty much all the problems I've found.
On the plus side the adaptor is very easy to set up, and at times it works perfectly. Unfortunately the majority of the time it lags like mad and becomes totally unusable. There doesn't seem to be any reason why it switches between the two, making it extra frustrating. Overpriced to start with, it's just not worth the money.

Update: Here is something you might like to know. If you own a laptop with wireless internet you can actually use this to connect your xbox to the internet! Just set your laptop to allow shared connections and run an ethernet cable between ... Read More:

Yup all who actually own / played / seen it in action know how much X Box live is!

GetXboxcodes however (sponsored link above the reviews bit) sells 13month codes for 360 (completley legit) and you dont spent any hidden costs!

Thats $47 which at the current rate of exchange means you are only spending £23.65!! This is a huge saving and unless you really like spending money then Id use them!

Great product that I desperately want. But there's no way I'm spending that much money. This is my first review and I'm writing in the hope Amazon will pass this on to the manufacturer. Drop the price (£60 seems reasonable) and I'll buy.
Buy from the States, as other posters have pointed out, it's half the price there

It's strange. My 360 Premium I got in Jan 06 still works fine and it's been played to death. But my Elite which I got in Dec last year broke in under 6 months and it wasn't used half as much.
It seems Microsoft are still using cheap parts and poor manufacturing practices with their console. It's a real shame. If these were any other type of electrical product they would've been re-called ages ago. Oh well. Things would'nt be so bad if Microsoft support wasn't so useless. 3 weeks for a refurb?

Attractive, comfortable, nice weight and welcome inclusion of rumble all make this a great controller. Unfortunately, I can only give it three stars due to - and bare with me, fanboys, till you see my reasoning - the PS3 controller.

I won't compare the layouts of the controllers because that comes down to personal preference. Some are more comfortable with Microsoft's layout and some with Sony's - that's up to you - and Sony's is only lighter due to the lack of dualshock.

The Sixaxis functionality of the PS3 controller is also yet to be properly implemented - there are some good attempts and some abject failures - but it does add an extra element to games and can be fun. And the one advantage the 360 controller currently has over the PS3 - namely the ... Read More:

First off, I borrowed this game from a friend. I've completed it and refused to give it back because I love it so much.

Gameplay. The gameplay on Assassins Creed is very fun, and polished off. The game is pretty much composed of 3 stages. Stage one is go to the city and find out who you're supposed to be Assassinating. Stage two is to go around the city completing little sub-missions to find out where your Assassination target is. Stage 3 is finding him and Assassinating them, then running back to your Bureau. Unfortunately, this is repeated for the whole game. If you like repetition in games ( like me) then you'll love this game. If not, you'll complete the first Assassination, get to the second one and realise that you're doing the same thing.
