I feel I owe this game a great deal, for it has restored my faith in gaming on the basis of art, storytelling, an epic sountrack and, of course, superb gameplay. Too much of what we see in the gaming charts nowadays are the hallmark of generic mediocrisy. Flashy games with impressive graphics and lots of guns, trying to hide their abysmal lack of depth. Well, SOTC breaks the trend.
You play as Wander (Wanda), a young swordsman from a small rural village. The game opens with him and Agro (his horse), and an unknown woman wrapped in cloth (dead, as we shall soon find), making their way across an immense bridge towards a temple. The original premise of the game is deceptively simple; that Wander falls in love with the maiden, she is ... Read More:

This is the type of game you'd buy for a child of about 6 or 7 who likes Penguins.
Much like the film, you play the cute Penguin Mumble, who can't
sing but can tapdance brilliantly, for a penguin. The levels are basic, Dancing, Sleding down a cliff or
swimming, and most levels you have to collect things.
The graphics are pretty good, if a little bit chunky, but
the gameplay could be more varied. ***

This game is initially very entertaining, and looks pretty cool too. The in-game graphics when fighting are impressive, with hugely destructable environments and nice-looking attacks etc. When we get up close, however, the character models are often crude and angular, and the cinematics can be frankly embarassing in terms of the lack of realism(eg. smith's death at the end of matrix 1). The gunfighting is also relatively poor. The game is fun, but it has a distintly cheap look about it that distracts from the better aspects. Some crucial fights are handled badly ( the burly brawls lets you fight only about 6 agents at a time, and the end battle with smith is boring and dissapointing) and the wild changes in tone from serious to sometimes completely ... Having not played the other games in the series, I did not know what to expect. Having played it a few times now I am glad that it is a budget title.
The background graphics are pretty reasonable, and it is good fun doing some low level flying over the hills etc, but overall I am not impressed with the game following the very very long wait for release.
Loading time is very slow for each level, and if you crash/die, it reloads the whole level from scratch which takes ages - very frustrating when you want to just get on and play.
The controls are not too great - I guess I was hoping the controls would be more like a flight sim, although getting the extra boost by holding in the throttle in combat is a nice touch. ... Read More:

i really enjoyed this game from start to end.you really feel as though you are on skull island-the game has a real movie style feel to it.the monster scenes are excellent.being chased by a hungry t-rex is terrifying, apart for when you get to play as kong-which is quite satisfying-as you get to smash up and destroy everthing in sight.for an adventure game this has everything-action,tension,excitement and a whole load of nasty, hungry monsters!

This game acomplishes many targets in beauty,depth and overall gaming pleasure. I dont kid myself into thinking that this game wasnt brilliantly made, its a work of art and its release was eagerly awaited. The reason this game doesnt get its place in the hall of fame is simple;
its gameplay - though beautyfully detailed and brilliantly unique- is dull. after a few hours of playing this game you lose the will to live; like so many other could-have-been games.
But dont let this put you off, in small amounts, this is gaming heaven.

Iam so sad that the sly games over, probaly due to it being not as popular as other platform games. However,Sly 3 Honour Among Thieves is my favourite platform game of all time
The ability to control over 5 people and roam many places freely is unique and fantastic. The storylins is very intresting and the many moves you can do in a fight makes this game even better.
I love all the disguises you have and the places are so detailed.
It is very hard to find any faults in this game.It may not be as long as Ratchet and physical in Jak,but I would definitely recommend this game.At a very cheap price, this game is almost perfect!

I've had never been let down by a Mr Bean product before I played on this game.
It is a 10 star idea, developed into a 1 star game.
The contols are hopeless, and Mr Beans actions are very limited, each level is very long but boring, they repeat the previous level (practically) with maybe an extra guard thrown in for good measure.
Each level you must find an object and it is the same process every time, find key, unlock chest, grab object, 3 times in the same level. A driving level would have been great.
The graphis are basic but effective, but the audio is a let down, you would have thought they would have been able to use sound bites at least from the series, instead of having a silent Bean.
It is fair to say that this game is ... Read More:

Having bought other retro games packages and forgetting about them almost instantly, I was surprised to find myself utterly glued to this. It's even made me give up Pro Evo 6 for the time being! The graphics and sound, as expected, are simple but the playability of some of the games is top notch. Bubble Bobble is just as good as it ever was, especially in co-operative mode with a friend. Space Invaders had me clenching my teeth in concentration (it's quite tough really!) and Colony 7 is simple but addictive (and the sound effects are so very Squarepusher-esque). Other games are dated and a little silly but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it. A great price too.

Apart from obviosly FF7 this is the best game ever - not only in the FF series. Its tricky at the beginning (i've died more in this than any other), but this game is so much fun. The graphics are simple and not over the top, but the mini games wouldn't work with new outstanding graphics.
To trigger events you need differnt people in your party and when you think the game is over it goes into part two. This game has everything, music, characters, side quests, its brilliant.
One tip - don't cheat by looking for hints on-line, just relax and enjoy. There will not be another game like this ever.
