when you get to a certain point in the one player mode and unlock the 5th player, there isn't much of a challenge left in continuing one player mode e.g. unlocking parts of the characters outfits...., but - brilliant fun when you play by wireless (each player needs their own disc for the wireless game) - but great fun rivalliing each other!!

Need for Speed: ProStreet (PSP)

I found this game very disappointing, having just came from most wanted, I thought that, being the sequel's sequel, it would be two steps better.

WRONG!

The game play is boring, and it has no bodykit or spoiler customisation. The tuned cars you see on the back of the box are pre-tuned cars that you only get on the last 4 racetracks. The only visual customisation that you have is rims, window decals, and paint, and that is basically all the customisation I can remember.

The reason I can't remember is because I spend my time re-completing Most Wanted (which you can get for a fiver in good used condition) and is not around four times worse, as the price would suggest, ... Read More:

First of all you must buy a car, not the best obviosly because they cost a lot more, but a half decent one. Then you have to buy a house. In your house you get news from clubs challanging you to race them and different upgrades. You can see your statistics eg how many cars you have, how much money you have.You have a garage where you can store your cars and your living room is just for show.

After you buy the house you can explore the city and there are many things to do. You can go to garages to upgrade your current car. You can go to car rentals to rent a car or you can buy another car from different places like FORD.

This is an excellent game for those who likes cars. Compared to the earlier versions of Need for Speed games, this one has better features. I've actually got this on the PS2 as well, and it's great. More, nicer, cars. Good graphics, also well-developed storyline. Plus, there are crew racings here, 3 styles, ur crew could help u win by either drafting, assasinating, or brawling, you'll know those 3 when u play the game. :D

So if ur a racing fan, get this fantastic game.

Great game lots of good aircraft (big and small). But the map is a bit to limited that being the only real downside to the game but if you are a fan of planes and flying I would recommend this game because it is just great fun!

Great game lots of good aircraft (big and small). But the map is a bit to limited that being the only real downside to the game but if you are a fan of planes and flying I would recommend this game because it is just great fun!

This surely deserves a 5/5 simply for the lack of other flying games on the PSP, but also in it's own right. I played Ace Combat games on the PS years ago, and this didn't fail to meet up to my high expectations. Sure there are a few annoying things about it, but overall it is simply supreb! The controls are a sinch to master fairly quickly, and the graphics are more than decent all the way, with next to no slow down - except where there are dozens of ground targets all huddled together (but then that can be a blessing in disguise). I'm not one to be fussed about the story-line (I just want the instant flying-action gratification I guess), but even that is ok, and it excels in the fact that you can choose different mission paths to victory. WipEout Pure (PSP)

If you are a newcomer to WipEout I would reccomend getting this, it has good graphics, a very good soundtrack
and the multiplayer is awesome.
It also has numerous free download packs which include tons more tracks and ships.

If you liked WipEout Pure, try Wipeout Pulse, the graphics, gameplay and music tracks are incredable and are much better than Pure.
I would get Pulse over pure, even though you have to pay for the download packs. Its worth it! Or better still, get both!

Ridge Racer 2 (PSP)

I'll keep this short.

Ridge Racer 2 on the PSP is a fantastic game.

I don't own the first one, but apparently there's not much new for those who've got it.

I, however, find this to be an exhilarating, bouncing 3am trip. It's all about the flow, and making your sense go, 'woah'.

I love the arcade-styled gameplay; sliding in and out of corners, nitrous-blasting my way past opponents whilst the summer-beach commentator gets all excited. I love how it's all a big festival, graphically immpresive and that so much is going on around you. I love the unbelievably encapsulating soundtrack that you could just as likely find in a club or in a young man's Peugeot 205 as he makes sure that everyone can hear it except him since he's deaf from ... Burnout Legends (PSP)

When I recently came into money, I was in 2 minds. Should I get Loco Roco or Burnout for PSP? Despite not being sure how well BURNOUT would transfer to a smaller format,I stuck with my old favourite, and bought the latter.
I need not have worried. Ever since that moment I have not been able to get the disk out of my PSP. Every time I go to play Wipeout or Daxter or other classics I decide to play just one more race or one little game of Road Rage.
Fans of Burnout and newbies alike will love this game. It perfectly captures the essence of Burnout - the sense of speed is obvious, but it also manages to scale it down to fit the smaller PSP.
