Metal Gear Solid 4 is a brilliantly engineered and very engaging game, but only if played in the right way.

Much like Splinter Cell or Hitman the game revolves around stealth and while it is very tempting to go on a rampage after discovery by an enemy if you do so the fun of the game quickly evaporates, while it is possible to bring your large arsenal of weaponry to bear on the enemy the game becomes incredibly unrealistic and faults in the enemy AI begin to show through. That's not to say you can't take the odd sniper shot at an enemy sentry to ease your way through but I strongly discourage playing this game simply as a shoot em up.

why are all you people who put 1 star reviews about ps3 so negative,, Ps3s are awsome,, theres a lot more to do on a ps3 than on a xbox 360 or a wii,,just because the 40gb ps3 doesnt play ps2 games, does'nt really matter why play ps2 games when you can play ps3 games in high def with great picture quality, i would rather buy ps3 games than stick with my ps2 games, and anyway, thats wot the ps3 is for, new gaming experience,thats what sony is trying to do !!! so why stick around with the ps2 games?

I loved this on the ps2 and was a bit sad we could only get the 40 gig ps3 and not be able to play buzz on it. However...this is great and I was so pleased the old wired buzz controllers worked with it too as now we have 8 so lots of peeps can play! I do miss some of the games though that were on the older version and not on this one (eg the one where the blurred pic gradually appears). Where is Rose?!!! However the online play makes up for it and being able to make your own and do others quizzes is great..although Ive had a few probs getting on the buzz servers (any one else had this?). Im sure there were also more characters on the original one. Over all its great fun and got me and my family off the Wii for a bit!

This game is good, but not great. We patiently waited soooooo long for it to come out and bought a PS3 just to be able to play this game. It just doesnt live up to San Andreas or Vice city.
You earn piles of cash, but whats the point? there is nothing to spend it on. We havent had the usual fun of exploring, running around looking down alleys, swimming in the Ocean, climbing up onto roof tops to see what might be hidden up there etc
The missions are OK and the story in depth, but all this keeping people happy is such a drag and feels like a huge waste of time, very irritaiting and totally pointless.
Was hoping for Amazing, but got Average.

Like the other reviewer, I couldn't get into FPS's until I bought this game. The game is outstanding, the graphics and sound is also very good. I like the story of 'Bad Company' as it develops well throughout the game and the characters can be funny at times as well! To be honest i'm really rubbish at the other First Person Shooters and this game falls into my boundaries quite well. Just buy the game!!! 10/10

I never thought I would like this game, looked silly & childish, but my husband bought it for me so I had to give it a go and I'm so glad I did. So much fun to play, you can play out all 3 of the classic films in story mode with the original characters and once you've completed the level you can come back and play in free play with any character from the trilogy and collect all the collectibles and tidy up the levels which is so much fun and gives hours of entertainment. Loads of extra fun things to do, collectibles, bonus levels, post boxes to collect that give you power ups and silly extras, tons of extra characters to unlock, all in all terrific fun. Top Spin 3 (PS3)

I have had Smash Court Tennis 2 and Virtua Tennis 3 and was waiting for Vitrtua Tennis 4 and decided to see what Top Spin 3 was like.

Having played Virtua tennis it is a little difficult to change between the two games, mainly because on Virtua tennis it is impossible to hit the net and it is impossible to hit the ball out, no matter how badly you time the shot the ball will go in.

On Top Spin 3 however, if you miss time the shot, you will either not get it quite where you want it or hit it out or at the net, if you go for a high risk shot and miss time it, you will not get it in. This is a review for people who don't usually play games like Civ - Dev, not for any Civ fans or obsessives who can devote whole days and weeks to strategy games :) - it's just for people who've tried the demo.

To be fair this is not the usual type of game I like but after trying the demo from PSN I was surprised to see how involved I was in the game trying to get a Domination win before the demo ran out.

Once I managed that I got the full game and found that the demo length pretty much matched my attention level - once past that point I quickly started to find that with all the extra cities and units I'd made the whole game was more tedious than challenging. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3)

This game delivers with its graphics and presentation, but overall I do not get the same enjoyment out of racing as I do with more arcadey racers. This game is more of a racing sim than a racing game. I suppose it is true to its heritage in that way.

Still, it is a great show off for the capabilities of the PS3, and there is some fun to be had. It is somehow quite relaxing to play too. Perhaps it's some of the soft jazz menu music.
