The Nintendo 64 was the first console I bought with my own money (I'm talking about 1998). I still remember saving up loads of pocket money for this, and only managing to buy the console which came with one remote (those awesome remotes!) and no game. The first time I saw the N64 was at a friend's house, he had imported it from the USA. Just the shape of it gave me goose-bumps! The fact it had 4 ports for remotes allowing 4 people to play simultaneously was the most attractive aspect of it, until I saw the graphics on Mario Kart 64! We played for hours, non-stop, and I yearned for the console to be on sale in Europe so I could get my hands on one. My first game was FIFA 64. Legendary. Super Mario 64

This game is absolutely amazing, I remember years ago when I first got it. Ahh, the days when games were more than just shooting and killing, the days when games had a proper story line, and amazing imagination.

Everything about this game is perfect I cant think of ANYTHING bad about this game. If you havent played it then you should really get it. If you have played it then you know what I am talking about.

This game is the best game I have ever played in my life without any doubt. And looking where video games are heading it will more than likely stay that way...

GoldenEye 007

I have absolutely little to say that hasn't already been covered. But for those who want the most concise review possible...

- It's based "very" authentically around the hit 007 film Goldeneye.
- Each level is based around a certain part of the film.
- The graphics for the time were ground-breaking.
- It's been voted numerous times as The best multi-player game ever; something you can only truly discover after playing it.
- The replay value is excellent
- Plenty of cheats to unlock amongst many difficulty levels.

Black Controller 64

When I got my Nintendo 64 for Christmas in 2000, it was packed with 2 free Gold Controllers, but I also had a Blue Nintendo 64 Controller boxed! Now oddly enough, even though Gold is shiny, bright, sparkling and the controller everybody wanted, I was using the Blue Controller more frequently than any other controller (it is actually more used than the other controllers).

But it wasn't until August 2004, when I got hold of the Black Nintendo 64 Controller, and to tell you the truth, among all 4 controllers, there is no difference whatsoever! So you can have the same joy with those 4-Player games such as Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 2, Super Smash Bros etc!

This game will last you until you die. Great fun, a 2 player race is best! Host of brilliant chracters, great races and probably the most fun you can have without getting off the sofa

Zelda : The Ocarina Of Time

Having played the n64 version of this game when i was about 6 i found it quite hard but when i was 12 i thought id give it another shot as i got master quest with wind waker(both of which are fantastic) i can honestly say this is the best game ever its so good i have it for n64, gamecube and wii all of which i still play (at 14 years old). im lucky enough to own all the consoles which i have all the best games for (halo 3, gta 4, metal gear solid 4, twilight princess etc) even with all of these this is still the best out of them all by a mile of, if you havnt played this then buy the legend of zelda collectors edition from amazon you not only get this but you get majoras mask and 2 other classic zelda games and i promise when you finally complete the game you will want ... Blue Controller 64

In 2008, this is perhaps the most random review ever.. The N64 controller. But hell, i'm bored! As with anything N64 related, its too easy to get carried away back to those teen memories in the nineties, so I find myself bullet-pointing the most important parts...

Positives:

- The ergonomic design; no controller has ever been designed like this.
- The analog stick is perfectly placed, allowing real precision because it's right under your thumb, and you don't need to stretch for it.
- The Z button was also right under the analog stick section, allowing for better control.
- Nice innovation with the 'C' button section; a seclusion of small, yellow buttons that usually account for settings during gameplay, or camera angles.

Banjo-Kazooie

If you read the review below you'll see i'm not the only person who still enjoys playing Banjo Kazooie even now nearly 10 years after is release on the N64! What a wonderful master stroke of pure gaming fun from Rare (who at the time were partners with Nintendo).
From the moment the music starts you know you're in for a whole lot of fun! What I really love about BK is the sense of getting 'lost in the game'! Quite often i've still been playing it at 2 in the morning without realising the time and then waking up to the fact that i'm not really flying round Freezezey Peak or dive-bombing snowmen in Click Clock Wood!! This was a great game and still is for the N64 Similar to Goldeneye 007 but with better graphics and a lot more weapons, levels, multiplayer options and a lot more to explore! This is still fun today and still is among one of the best first person shooters of all time! This is actually betetr than the 360 versin of Perfect Dark Zero, and I urge all you N64 owners that havn't got this to get it or for people to get an old 2nd hand N64 and buy this because you will not put it away for 1 second, its that damn good!
