Despite what Namco developers say, there really hasn't been much improvement made in the Tekken system since Tekken 3. While newer installments have better graphics and more characters, the third perfected the form that two helped define. Notice how I fail to mention the stepping stone of the original? That's because its awful to look at, awful to play, awful to think about and awful to bring up in the bedroom or at a funeral. None of the newest characters are as interesting, popular or fun to play as Hwoarang, Xiaoyu or Jin Kazama were back in the day. Tekken 2 Platinum

Tekken 2 is one of the greatest 3d beat em ups to ever hit any console.
The music and sound in this game are superb every arena has the best music to suit the mood of the scenery around you.

In my opinion Tekken 2 also has the best line up of characters the cast this time round are:

For ages iv'e been a big fan of the Mortal Kombat games and films and since i played this one it has been my favorite from the start.
This has the biggest selection of characters out of any Mortal Kombat games (40 characters) and hundreds of special moves, combos, fatalities, brutalities, animalities and Babalities!
As well as having a huge range of new, or new looking, characters this game also features 2 origonal characters from Mortal Kombat 1 (Kano and Rayden) wich all come wit all their old fatalities and special moves, it also features 2 characters (Jax and Kung Lao) from Mortal Kombat 2, again they come with their origonal fatalities and moves!

I love WWF Smackdown!, and I've got the calluses on my thumbs to prove it. I hear that WWE Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role is even better, but this first Smackdown! title puts every other wrestling game I have ever played to shame. There is room for improvement, but there's little not to love about the wrestling action unleashed from this Playstation CD. You have to start off with the wrestlers; you get all of the big names from WWF (now WWE) at the time, and most of them look great. Chyna's animated character looks atrocious, with a tiny head set atop a mountain of muscles, but I have few other complaints in this department. Wu-Tang Taste The Pain (PS)

Having completed story mode with 4 out of the 9 characters, and come very close with the rest, I can honestly say that this game is difficult. It does require you to be extra quick, and mentally very agile.

The skin on my thumbs wore away after playing this game so much, but given that I am such a hardcore Wu-Tang fan, I'm probably the exception to the rule. the soundtrack is awesome, better than pretty much any other beat em up - ever.

Graphics - good, not the best, but the novelty of fighting as one of the Wu-Tang Clan more than makes up for that. This game is definitely a good game for it's 1999 release - although now it is years out of date, it can still be quite an entertaining experience.

The Good: The create-a-superstar is probably one of the best aspects of the game, especially the profile sections, where, in a personality section you can edit voices for your superstar, then some hilarious custom sound tracks, as well as the entrance themes of the approx. 40 superstars on the game. There are also good ways to modify the match-ups in the menus, e.g. if you have a triple threat match you can choose whether to have it as an elimination, 2-out-of-3 falls or just a plain 3-way bout. Yet another great WWF game from THQ. I am forever digging out this game and playing it again and again. People who like the WWE/F and wrestling should absolutlely definetley have this game. The matches available are TLC,Hell in a cell, cage,special ref,Tag,tornado tag,Iron Man,Slobber Knocker,Table,Ladder,Anywhere Fall,Hardcore and many more. They really are great. Season mode is far better than Smackdown 1 or Wrzone or attitude, with plenty of feuds involving your own characters and everyone. There are unlockables as well including unknowns, actual superstars, credits movie and more. The current superstar roster is massive, with over 80 available. The WCW has always been known for its silly antics, compared to the moreserious WWF. WCW Backstage Assault is definitely one big silly antic, butno one here is laughing.
All game play is backstage in locker rooms, restrooms, garages, etc. Youcan not play in the ring. The game play is very basic, with a limitednumber of moves that can only be expanded by unlocking more moves, anirritating stumbling block in the way of the enjoying the game.
The wrestlers look and feel horrible. Their faces are almostinterchangeable, and the colors of the outfits are not very accurate tothe real-life counterparts.
