You just gotta try this game, pray to the gods you dont like it.
I quit playing this game and took up real life just over 4 months ago, life is better now that I am free.
I've racked up 4000 hours play time over the past 1.5 years, that's 166 days, nearly 6 months constant play time... I obviously totally mastered the game, made hundreds of friends, yes friends, (they might be online but I still know, respect and talk to them like I would any other friend). Because of this game I lost my families respect, my girlfriend and did much worse in my GCSE's.
In a sense I do not regret buying it, but life is better without... believe me.
I don't class myself as a gamer or a geek but yet this game destroyed ... Read More:
ive been playing Diablo for years but the Expansion (especially on patch 1.11b) is incredible. It blows your mind away. With the two new character classes-druid and assassin- and hundreds of new items, this addictive game is a great play and can keep you going for hours.
or 4... At least I think that's how long I spent playing Diablo II in every spare moment I could find, I'm not sure, I kinda lost track of time for a bit.
The concept behind making Diablo II so popular is ridiculously simple. Make an engine that can generate nearly infinite numbers of uniquely different magical items and people will play until the end of time trying to obtain a sword or a suit of armour that's just that little bit better than what you already have.
The stories and cut scenes that drive the game forward and link the various Acts are superbly done and contribute in some way to dispelling the "nothing but a clickfest" label that the Diablo games have been cast as.
Many spells and abilities are only available at level 30 or above ... Read More:

I think to a certain extent it is right for EA to protect themselves now beings as so many games are copied and sold on, so the DRM scheme makes sense, although quite annoying admitedly!
Also people who buy from amazon are willing to pay the £5 for the game, if your not then dont moan about it, and if you were really concerned ud have realised that EA refund that £5 when you buy the full game later this year from them, yet its just as cheap to buy creature creator and preorder the full game from Amazon neway.
Newho love the game, its nice to have a small taste of whats to come, well excited!

Where to start? How about the the original Warcraft game and how awesome it was. It was an innovative Strategy game that was launched back in the 90's, with a great storyline and awesome missions. You even had the option of choosing the human (alliance) or the orcs (horde) races. The second edition "Tides of Darkness" had enhanced graphics and gameplay, and came out during the same decade. It and was a blast. The 21st century version of the game came out as Warcraft III, followed by an expansion. The most incredible features of Warcraft III included awesome 3D graphics, new races (dwarves, undead, elves...), "neutral" armies/enemies, online play, and most importantly, as you should know, the usage of heroes - which I believed sparked the idea of creating an online RPG (Role Playing Game) with ... I love the original Sims, and so when I invested in a brand spanking new top of the range Macbook Pro Intel (OSX 10.5.2) I was incredibly excited to buy The Sims and all of the latest expansion packs. I patiently sat through the lengthy installation process and studiously researched any patches I might need. Does it work? NO!!! I thought it was my error, so I installed again from scratch and same thing happened! I was most disappointed - it seems that my system is just *too* modern for this game, which works only on older macs. Aspyr! Please use some of the billions of dollars you make from us suckers who buy expansion packs to update these very popular games for the future!

Well, I must say I was a bit dissapointed with this game.
The graphics have been improved but nothing worth talking about.
The overall game play has also improved but come on, is that the best you can do?
Story line is better than the earlier versions but however is not very moving or creative enough.
If you compair story lines of Warcraft, Starcraft, Command Conquer, this game's story line totally sucks.
I do like the cannons, additional buildings, and cards you can use from your homeland, but the fact you can Modify your home city's image just makes me laugh as to why you would add something so pathetic to a game for.
Completely pointless.
(The more I think about it, I should have spent a bit more and just bought C&C 3)

After reading several bad reviews for Civ IV i thought i should write my own. So okay, i run the game on my old iMac G5 and i have no problems, sure it's a little slow at times but when you have an old machine you have to expect that. If you have an Intel powered mac you're in a much better position to play this game, but if not like me, tinker with the settings and you should get it to work fine. My machine is by no means blazing fast. The game itself is excellent. Yes, it is a bit easier than Civ III, but played on a harder level it will balance out. There is a bit more to the game than Civ III, a bigger learning curve, but when you come to grips with that you'll appreciate the extra bit of depth to the game. It is an excellent game. Patches have been released, and so too have expansion packs. There's ... Read More:
