The review by "Olsta" that seems first up when I log on, sums up the nature of this game.

Nintendo will eventually release the Wii version so you can steer with the Wiimote. In the meantime this version is a great way to enjoy a truly great game for all the family. As with all Gamecube games on disc you need the Gamecube controllers (Not the Wii Classic one) and a Gamecube memory card if you want to save progress and points. Memory is not necessary to play when the family just load it up for an hour of fun! I got a set of Gamecube wireless controllers to keep the wirefree environment (Madcatz ones), and invested in an original Gamecube memory card due to forums indicating problems with third party ones. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

In 2001 Nintendo made a decision to move away from the normal 3 dimensional graphics and try out something new, known as cel shading. And it certainly paid off.

The graphics in Wind Waker are jaw-dropping. By rendering 2 dimensional sprites in a 3 dimensional world the game has an artistic, highly stylised, often cartoony feel about it. This, combined with the vivid colours and beautiful attention to detail means that the game is a pleasure to play from start to finish. Enemies explode into a cloud of smoke, the wind rushes into your sails, grass swishes and the sea swells. Although the graphics have changed dramatically from earlier releases, none of the atmosphere of the game has been lost.

Super Mario Sunshine

I bought this game to play on the Wii after having played Super Mario Galaxy to the bone and getting all 121 stars, which were indeed difficult and stressful to get but not at all compared to Super Mario Sunshine.

The game seems rushed and not well-finished at all. Surely Mario does look much better than the precarious Super Mario 64 design but the game looks like a testing beta version of itself. The graphics aren't great, the music is... just there, and the gameplay ranges from funnily easy to insanely difficult. Plus the cameras are almost manual and only turn by themselves when you're in tight situations, usually making you die.

Okay, lots of people like difficult stuff - as I do - but the difficulty of Mario Sunshine ... Read More:

You capture wild Pokémon only, right?

Wrong! The lead character in this game wears a device on his arm, allowing him to snag Pokémon. However, you still can't just snag any Pokémon.

Teaming up wth a girl who has the ability to see dark auras, you travel around rescuing "Shadow Pokémon", who's hearts have been sealed shut in labs. Caring for these Pokémon and taking them to a special place restores the Pokémon to their original state.

When you've snagged all the Shadow Pokémon, and restored them, you're said to be able to get Ho-oh as well. I can't vouch for that yet, but I'm working on it.

This game IS what the gamecube is remembered for! and now it has the chance of a second lease of life from people playing in on the Wii. I have never come across a game like this before. The graphics are fantastic and i love the little touches with the Pikmin noises! although the noise they make as they drown or get burnt by fire is a little heartbreaking!. At times it can be frustrating as you realise you have navigated your way across a tough terrian to find one of the ships parts but havent got enough Pikmin to carry it back! *whoomph* thats the sound of throwing the controller on the floor!. Luigi's Mansion

This is one of the only games i have ever played through to the very end. It's true that for hard core gamers it probably wont take you too long to finish the game but its worth it for the journey!. There are lots of nice touches in this game e.g. the way Luigi whistles the theme tune! and the graphics are great(even when played on a Wii). The gameplay is simple enough once you get the hang of it and becomes a little harder against the 'portrait' ghosts where you have to think a bit more about when to attack. Make sure your controller will stand up to all the yellow C stick action as you suck those ghosts in!.

Unlike other sonic games which are plain stupid really this is allways been my favorite ive had this game for ages 3 years atleaste and finally writing a review because finally getting the time.
Right this game is exelent because Hero mode you play as Sonic,Tails,Knuckles-Dark Shadow, Rouge, Eggman.
I have completed both stories but enough about all of this time to tell you why it is the 2nd best game ever.
The gameplay as sonic with speed action homing attack bouncing about rocks and knuckles gameplay is searching for 3 piecies of the master emerald which will keep you searching for ages with enimies to destroy on the way with rap music to keep you going on his levels-Tails gameplay is good you play in his plane which tranforms which makes it have feet so you ... Let me begin by saying it's a good game, with an engaging storyline. With 4 different teams to choose from Sonic heroes makes a good game for a beginner & even at some stages for the more advanced gamer. So why do I only give it 3 stars? The graphics are experimental, a good 3D effect but not to everyone's taste & the inter team combat is abysmal! So why not 1 star? Because the levels & different team leader formations add an interesting twist. Sound? Quite good. If you're 7-9 I'd recommend it but for 10+ I'd recommend something more challenging-like Tales of Symphonia.

Overall impression - 3 out of 5.

Super Monkey Ball

You have to try this for pure novelty value! i mean monkeys in balls! c'mon thats funny!.

The first few levels you get to grips with controlling your monkey ball and it can be very satisfying to reach the goal! you find you are willing the ball to go in the right direction and end up holding the controller at bizarre angles in the hope it will make the ball go more left!.

Sadly as with most games - things get harder! MUCH harder! good lord! there were levels where it starts, you breath, and the ball falls off the side! ARGGGGG!!! i can honestly say it really is the most frustrating game i have played on the Gamecube!. I never bothered to finish it. Maybe i was just rubbish at it?!?.
