. Zool 2 (Jaguar)Childrens Toy Shop > Video Games > Atari Jaguar from: Atari This is a bright, colourful and challenging platformer for the Jaguar. There are similarities to the "Sonic" games here but overall Zool 2 is wackier and more frustrating. As 2D games go this is impressive. The graphics are cartoonish and clear, and the sound is above average for a Jaguar cart. It has aged quite well although it's not much more than a revamped 16-bit game. You can choose between two characters with some minor variations in play and there are plenty of levels. As the game progresses it gets frustratingly difficult but it is seriuosly addicitive providing hours and hours of gaming. Overall this is a good game but not quite up to the standard of Rayman. . Doom (Jaguar)Childrens Toy Shop > Video Games > Atari Jaguar from: Atari The Jaguar itself was a great machine, it had 3 maybe 4 top titles, however it also had 10 or more dire games. This game along with Tempest 2000 was by far the best. If you've played Halo or Quake 3 you'll see the origins and beginnings here. The Jaguar delivered high speed (compared to other consoles) 64-bit graphics and top sound. The speed of movement and reaction time of your character were great, enabling you to dodge and weave against enemy fire. The game had no music which in my opinion set the atmosphere. If you listened carefully you could hear the hellspawn breathing and moving around corners. The Artificial intelligence here is amazing. I still believe that this game has the best (bar none) bad guys around. ... Read More: |
