the fifa games are rubbish in comparison to madden. The be a pro mode is useless as you can only do one game, whereas superstar mode on madden is much better as you can do a whole career and you just do your player. i have both fifa 08 and madden nfl 08 and i can honestly say that fifa pales in comparison. Franchise mode is 10 times better than manager mode.
Don't waste your money get madden

I got this game with my spending money because I was fed up off playing with retired players on Pro evoloution soccer 3 (thats old). I was expecting it 2 be da same but u know what it has a huge difference such as it shows the referee u choose which ball you want to play with and what I wanted da most, it had all da knew players. DA thing which I like
about the game is that the awsome players such as Christiano Ronaldo does tricks on his own when other players come to tackle him. BUt da thing is not all the players look da same as on real football, tores has short hair, Beckham looks toooooooootally different.
Overall buy it!

Gone are the polished corporate stadiums of lesser games, in Fifa Street you play in the neighbourhood. From the picturesque riverbanks of Roma in Italy to the gritty shanty towns of Brazil through to a disused railway shed in London. In all there are ten locations scattered throughout the world with all but three needing to be unlocked before they can be played on. The attention to detail is astounding with the statue de Christo Redentor overlooking the Rio de Janeiro pitch and the urban graffiti in plentiful supply in the old Manhattan basketball court subpoenaed for footballing purposes.

I bought FIFA07 this week for a knockabout, the action is great, the players features are cloned for the most part although as all in-game views are distant, who cares! (forget about the fancy pics on the game previews above). The menu system is okay.. Has anyone else's PS2 version frozen during a game? Mine has frozen 3 times in the first week and the PS2 has felt really hot... not much fun in the closing minutes of a Liverpool/Everton 1-1 game!
Buy this game second-hand as it's dirt cheap anyway.Good for a Sunday morning chillout (unless it crashes)

I dont understand reviewers by saying this game is slow!!as a fan of football manager series on the pc and the next installment not out till november time, i saw my cousin playing this and thought i would give it a try, my first thoughts were why didnt i get this game when it came out, it is actually really good, the match engine is obviously the stongest link in the game, i love watching my matches in fast mode, its also good that you can do the stadium up when and if you like..so if your low on cash dont bother..or you can even buy a new stadium(you need a lot of cash for this)overall an enjoyable game and i would recommend to any1..pity that no more will be made!!

When I play football for real, when I watch it on TV, and when I play it on my video games consoles, I do it for at least one consistent reason; because I enjoy it.
The highs and lows of the beautiful game are what drive millions of fans into a range of raw emotions whenever their team goes into action. I am no different. Like a drug, I am addicted to that appeal. So, if there's a video game that can give me that feeling whenever I want, without having to watch a TV re-run or get enough mates down at the local park, then bring it on. PES6 tries to accomplish that; and for that I applaud Konami.
But my God, is this THE single most frustrating game on the planet?!
With good graphics, a good level of tactical input, ... Read More:

If the reason for buying this game is becuase you want to play on the carrer don't buy it buy Fifa street 1.On this carrer you do get build your carrer the most and thats class but you do skill challenges which is so hard and anoying to do so as well as playing games with your team, but you have to earn your team first. The only two other things, as well as the price being so high, compared to the first game is that you get to build your own arena and once you've done it once it's not great and also that you get to make your own radio station and thats quit cool. So overall the grafices are good, the carrer's rubbish, it gets boaring and it's basicly a copy of the first. So if you had the choice between the two games then pick th first because i give this game ... Read More:

This EA take on the Uefa Euro 2008 championships is obviously going to suffer commercially in England because of the execrable failure of the national team.
As a game, it is a lot closer in feel to the World Cup 2006 game, which first got me into the whole PS2 football thing, than the imperious FIFA 08. The camera angle is a bit weird, too low and off-centre and, despite frequent attempts to correct it, tends to revert to the same view. Shooting is easier than in the parent game; the AI tackling is downright feeble.
The main innovation is the 'kickstick' - which is using the right analogue stick as a draw back and shoot stick, a bit like putting in the Tiger Woods golf games. I can't say I was impressed. On penalties - and there are suppose ... Read More:

I love the LMA series of games, I own including this one 4 of them. I have read a lot of reviews about this game and thought, it would be a challenge to try this one as I had become a littel bored with 2005 because my Arsenal team had becaome so good, that no-one could beat me and i was detroying teams like Man Utd, AC Milan etc. 6-0.
I took into account what people were saying about the trtansfer system, so gave it a go, but in my first season I fou8nd no issues in buying a few players. I was wondering what the fuss was about?
Is the game too hard and you can't win anything? Well, no. I won all the english trophies in my first season as Aresenal, but lost in the semis of the European Cup to Man Utd. So far, I can not see what the fuss is all about.

Again we have another Fifa game which is fine, however there isn't that many new things. Yes, it is better than previous Fifa games for the PS2 and yes, the manager mode is slightly different, however for it to be a real classic there needs to be some more stuff thrown in, things which haven't been tried before on a football game.
I would stick to Fifa 07 for the PSP, this game does have new things on it. But, this is a very good game, the best Fifa so far (apart from 07) but if you are considering buying it, don't. get the in date version (Fifa 07). 8/10
