Ah, Grand Theft Auto... If you enjoyed riding your bike through GTA:San Andreas, swinging your katana or your chainsaw, going on a rampage with your tank, wasting oodles of money on clothes and stuff, flying a plane, investing or bodybuilding... then stick to GTA:San Andreas. Because all of this has been removed from GTA IV. While graphically it is quite a feast (initially at least, it does rather wear off after some time), and the physics engine has been improved (car damage is now much more diverse; but prepare to spend a lot of time watching your car spin out of control, even when driving at a walking pace), interactivity has taken a huge step backwards. After approximately 40% of the game, I realized I had more money than I could ever spend, ... Read More:

Mario Kart is by far the best game for the Wii in my opinion. The graphics are top-notch. Online play is superb and completely addictive. That's really the only thing I've been playing since I bought the game. I'm glad the game went back to its roots and forget a lot of the changes that the Double Dash made. There's 32 courses in the game, 16 new, 16 old. There really are some well-designed courses in the game. Koopa Cape is one of my favourites.
I have to say the Wii Wheel that comes packaged with Mario Kart is a waste of time. I used it on the first game I played and abandoned it after the first lap. I guess it's fun but you need to spend a lot of time in order to get used to it. I now use the Controller/Nunchuk option. It's far easier. ... Read More:

This is an excellent game. There is huge variety in the games; they are innovative and varied. The graphics are excellent as you would expect. More events unlock as you play the game more which increases its longevity.
Some other reviews complain about the complexity of the controls. This surprises me as my children (aged four and seven) can both manage to play it very well. They have both successfully won several gold medals and broken many world records, so if they can manage it I should think anybody could (if they could be bothered to read the instructions which are presented before each event).
Overall, it's an excellent game. As with many Wii games, it is definitely geared towards the younger gamer, and it hits this target market ... Read More:

I think mario kart is one of the best games ever. It's got great graphics and characters including Mario,Lugi,Peach and Yoshi. There are many courses-my favourite is Choco Mountain. I rate Mario Kart to all ages.

Just excellent. Broadly faithful to the movies, with some hilarious takes on famous scenes done in "lego style" as a really nice touch.
Gameplay is very good, clearly not that graphically challenging and not overly demanding as a game. Some great "shoot 'em ups" interspersed with some roleplay games that are also good fun.
Probably best for younger children and older adults that can't handle (or can't be bothered with) the complexity of some of the newer games. For those brought up on a diet of Defender & Scramble who remember Star Wars the first time around, this game is perfect to play with your kids.

I think that the majority of gamers, whether old or new, are aware of the classic masterpiece, Mario Bros. But whilst the original Mario bros series was one of the most addictive, memorable selection of games in history, is it really necessary to meddle by releasing a new, updated one?
Turns out yes... yes it is.
When playing new Mario bros, it's apparent that whilst tons of new little features have been added, it's essentially a 3D homage to the original games. The new features are great fun however, with plenty of new items (the massive mushroom rules!), some new enemies, wireless multiplayer and a decent amount of mini-games to play around with (both in single and multiplayer).
Story-wise, they've definitely kept it old school: Peach gets kidnapped, ... Read More:

Having been a fan of the Mario games for many years I was hoping that SM Galaxy was going to resurrect what was lacking so much in SM Sunshine. Prior Mario games have always added a unique new style and provided enough substance in the amount of levels and the diverseness that they offer that the player would always work away awestruck and very satisfied.
Having now completed this game there is nothing that leaves me with that WOW factor. When I completed SM64 I looked back truly impressed by the difference provided by each of the levels including being lifted far up into the sky by the owl, the evolution of each of the different suits allowing progression through the game and the perfect music that is remembered especially in discovery of the underwater dinosaur. ... Fire red is a remake of the original game boy classic pokemon red with ruby and sapphires third generation game engine. But to call it JUST a remake is a serious understatement. this game is fun, addictive and strangely heart warming as anyone who played the original games will remember going through the same story line, its also makes feel as though you were that little kid gazing at the tiny gameboy screen in your own little world.... well that's how i felt. Sure it's the exact same game but with some more pokemon to catch, better graphics and a couple of new islands but thats not the point, i bought it for the memory and at £17 or so its not bad.

Mario Party is a very easy to play set of "board" games and loads of mini-games (which each take about 30 seconds to play). It is fun for children and amateur players, but far too simple for serious gamers. One player mode is fine, though I agree it is better with more. If you want an enjoyable, and easy to play, wii game then this fits the bill.
