Fire red is a remake of the original game boy classic pokemon red with ruby and sapphires third generation game engine. But to call it JUST a remake is a serious understatement. this game is fun, addictive and strangely heart warming as anyone who played the original games will remember going through the same story line, its also makes feel as though you were that little kid gazing at the tiny gameboy screen in your own little world.... well that's how i felt. Sure it's the exact same game but with some more pokemon to catch, better graphics and a couple of new islands but thats not the point, i bought it for the memory and at £17 or so its not bad.

When this game came out i didn't think it would be any different to the previous version, Ruby and Sapphire, but i soon found that it was a serious improvement on them and that the new features, like a battle tower, complete what was already a great game and this is why i would recommend it to anyone. Buy it now!

I've always thought their are 2 types of Gameboy game; the travelling type, and the 'home' type. Luckily, Mario Kart Advance is perfectly suited for the gamer on the move with it's fast paced racing, excellent longtivity, and impressive graphics. It makes the most out of the GBA processor with lovely 3-D 32bit graphics, which suited me fine, as I remember the original SNES version of Mario Kart being very cartoony.
A must if you own a GBA, and even more essential if you're a short journey player, like me!

OK, some people say that pokemon is just for boys, but it's not, just as the begining of this game proves, you get to choose if you are a boy or a girl, and enter your name! Although i'd always loved pokemon since i was little, this was my first pokemon game. I LoVeD iT!!! ItS sOoOoO cUtE!!!

The ogrinial Pokemon was groundbreaking, this-i would to say "stands up there with Blue and Yellow"-but it doesn't, its worse but still an ace game! My much beloved team are: Koroge (lvl 56), Riakou (lvl 56), Entai (lvl 55), Swampert (lvl 100), Rayquaza (lvl 100), Tyranitar (lvl 63). And i have a soft spot for this game becalse this is THE game that got me to the no.2 pokemon trainer in the whole of England! This game is slow paced at the beggining (with only lvl 5-10 Pokemon around) but it REALLY hots up when you have to fight Wally! Loved this game, i small gem.

This cartridge does not do exactly what it says on the tin, i cant use it to get any new pokemon, it often crashes and many of the items and warp to location cheats dont work. ive tried it on two games so far and checked the online support which is non-existant, furthermore is the call helpline charges £1 an hour. if you want deoxys or anything else you'd be better off getting a ticket to japan.

hurrah! a way to play the classic snes game on the move. the people that have given it one star are probably too young to remember how great games were before fancy graphics and silly controllers. its all about the gameplay kids... and this is the game to play.

This game is not very fun. The levels are difficult and the character slips around a lot. I like to play against the bosses.
There is also the classic Mario game, which will trigger tears of nostalgia for 20-somethings, but is boring for me! Basically, the gameplay is this:
Go to level one. Play a boss. Go to level two. Play a boss.
And then this:
Whack the characters. Play again.
Wouldn't recommend.

I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine.
Let's get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn't as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one!
So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. Also this was the last portabl console to have the traditional Gameboy style layout of control buttons under the screen (instead of either side like the Lynx, ... Read More:
