Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience.
The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. It's clear the Japanese gaming gurus took onboard all of the initial criticisms (of which there were not many) and built something that defies all expectations of handheld gaming.
To start with: the graphics. 2d graphics are crystal clear ... Read More:

I love this little bundle of joy. Is excellent fun, keeps me entertained and out of trouble. Is easy to take anywhere - excellent for those being sent on courses or away from home through work, or just for something to do in the evening. The range of games available to use with this are increasing with plenty of choice for all, and there's no need to power up, plug in, or go to the study/spare room/computer room if you fancy five minutes on it. Is also very easy to use so no hours of trawling through a manual before enjoying the fun.
I got a Nintendo DS in december 07,by April 2008 i had sold it on. I really, really wanted one and when i got it was completly addicted to it,perfect for when your partners watching the football! The Games appealed to me and i loved that i could take it anywhere and loved how it looked..but then i started to get bored because the games were too short and easy and i ended up not playing on it because i had completed all the games. I think i found i was too old for it at 20 and it was better for younger children as the games were too easy and childish. I would recommend it for children 100% as its great fun and educational. But if your older and like a bit more of a challenge then you may get bored quickly and feel like theres ... Read More:

I am so glad they have extended the colour range of the DS Lite. My children have the pink version because at the time of purchase there wasn't much choice. When I decided to get my own I chose a red one as it's my favourite colour and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived!!! It is a lovely shade of red, and now funnily enough my 10 year old keeps using my DS over her pink one because she thinks it's 'smarter' than hers. Has all the features you'd expect. The other colours look great too!

Having religiously avoided computer games since the early nineties PC version of games, buying this impressive little piece of kit was a revelation. Bought with the popular Brain Training software programme, we've used this everyday on a recent holiday and had good fun with it, proving that families can indeed be brought together for fun with technology rather than becoming uncommunicative zombies!
The DS lite is well-constructed, and seems to have an excellent battery life, making it ideal for travel. As far as Brain Training goes - well the novelty wears of pretty quickly, although the temptation is always there to have just one more try to get your brain age down to a respectable number. With seemingly endless other games available, I suspect we'll be ... Read More:

We owned an original Nintendo DS for two years - we bought it right when it released in December 2004. When I first saw the DS Lite at E3 in 2006, I was thrilled. The game great handheld unit design - but lighter! Brighter! Tuned! It really showed that Nintendo had been paying attention to customer feedback during those two years, and had tweaked its unit to be even better than before.
First, the weight. We always *loved* the design of the DS, with its folding top. As PSP owners, I can't tell you how many time that poor PSP screen gets dinged or scratched. We had to buy extra carrying cases for our PSP and get screen protectors. In comparison, the DS's clamshell design means the screen is perfectly protected when you tote it around in your pocket or purse. The only ... Read More:

Nintendo DS is a new way to play and talk in 1. It is also a hand held console which makes it portable. It is extremely popular across the world and is selling rapidly.Would you buy a Nintendo DS?. Many children use it more than the Nintendo Wii and the PSP which is a great point for buying one. If i was you i would recoment this game console to a friend or even family. If i recived a Nintendo DS i would always look after it and talk to all my friends and play on the games. The Nintendo DS Lite is the newer version of the Nintendo DS which gives you the same quality but a brighter screen and gives you 20 feet smaller in the distance.
