I've had final fantasy X a fair few years now, I have a next gen console and have played a hell of alot of RPGs. To this day I can honestly say, final fantasy X is the greatest game I have ever played.

I could ramble on for pages as to the specific reasons I adore this game, but I think the focus of a game like this is its narrative. This is why I named this review, 'beautiful', not for some corny over the top way of expressing how much I enjoyed it, bit because there is no other way to explain the story. It's astoundingly written and is by far the most emotional I have ever experienced, and thats including ff7s death of Aeris, which I think pales in comparison to the love story here.

Well first of all this game is totally different from any other game you would have played. The size is enormous, probaly near to the size of San Andreas and the graphics on this are beautiful. The gameplay is short though. The first time I completed this it took me about 5 hours I think but this is the sort of game which will make you want to go through more than once. You don't fight any sort of creatures in this game apart from the Colossi themeselves. There are sixteen in total and you fight them one after another. When you fight one you have to find a way to climb on them and then you have to find there weakness before you can kill them. FF XII is really frustrating. At first I was worried about the new battle system, gambits & the lack of random encounters. However, the new system actually works very well & generally makes the gameplay more enjoyable. In a game as big as this, it would take forever to navigate around if you had to deal with endless random enemies. I actually think it's too big & the game lacks focus as a result. I almost quit playing halfway through because it got repetative & the story is dull & confusing to the point where I didn't know whose side I was on or what I was meant to be doing.

This game acomplishes many targets in beauty,depth and overall gaming pleasure. I dont kid myself into thinking that this game wasnt brilliantly made, its a work of art and its release was eagerly awaited. The reason this game doesnt get its place in the hall of fame is simple;
its gameplay - though beautyfully detailed and brilliantly unique- is dull. after a few hours of playing this game you lose the will to live; like so many other could-have-been games.

But dont let this put you off, in small amounts, this is gaming heaven.

Dirge Of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII- (PS2)

Dirge of Cerberus is by far and away the worst entry into the final fantasy cannon, let alone the FF7 series. The game is a incredibly lacklustre shooter that would just have been ignored if it wasn't for the words 'Final Fantasy' in the title. The gameplay itself is poor, enemy ai is incredibly basic and it is a incredibly easy game to beat, you don't even have to change your gun much. Its a short game too, it can be beaten in 8-10 hours (if you watch the numerous cutscences). Even though the gameplay is poor the storys good right? Well short answer no. I waited almost 3 years for this, and I pre ordered it. When Squaresoft merged with Enix, and because SquareEnix. I think they lost the plot. The main Composer left, who had done all the score to all the games.

In Final Fantasy 7 8 9, there was a very strong bond between the characters, even in 10 there was a bond.

In this game, there is non. The characters, they are just there for the sake of it. No real story line in the characters apart from a little in Balthear.

To me this game is so repetitive, boring, You wander around endlessly to find where you have to go. the grafix aren't as good as in Final Fantasy X and even in the older games like FF7 FF8. There are no Summoning of GFs, Aions exc. Just Limit breaks.

Dark Chronicle (PS2)

I absolutely and entirely love this game. It has now been about 4 years since I played this game and yet I still remember the storyline as if I was playin it now. This game is massive in the very sense of the word, the entire world is involved in the plot, the storyline is... EPIC and the characters are your friends for the duration of the game. The story also has many plot twists and yes.. moments where you will cry. Beautiful soundtrack (Anyone remember Garden of Memories). Absolute must buy for PS2 owners.

Well where to begin? I'll try to organize this mess square has dished us on a plate.

I have to admit, i was looking forward to this sequal with high expectations and hopes that maybe this will be just as good or even better than FFX..... O dear i was sorely mistaken.

[YUNA] - They've turned a shy, cute high summoner into a pop singer... Why i ask? Of all things you could of done to improve Yuna you turn her into a pop singer, WITH GUNS.... Jeez a complete mockery of FFX Oh and WHAT'S WITH HER RUN. IT'S PAINFUL TO STOMACH!!!

i found Silent Hill 2 to be immensely disappointing,especially after the groundbreaking first game. This one ties up many of the loose ends from the original(fortunately,i played the original for the first time in years the weekend before getting this)The fun puzzles are back,it's genuinely eery,and the monsters are much better than the second game.All in all,this is what Silent Hill 2 should have been.

Luv this game even though i'm a grumpy teen! had this game when i was little but only started to play it now!! It is addictive and has hundreds of levels. I've only just completed it. it is very taxing in some parts (trying to work out what you actually have to do to get to the next level!
You should play this game at least twice (that is if you finally manage to complete it!) coz there are loads of things you may have missed out in the first levels of the game where you need the umbrella to get all the items or somthing like that!

I would recomend this for EVERYONE. The BEST ps2 game I've ever played!

I only wish there were more games like this one! lol! :)
