This is definitely one for the kids! Its very colourful and of course 2-D. Once the buttons for each move are learned its very easy to play, on the plus side if you find it too hard to learn to buttons you can change them yourself to suit you. One drawback is the fact that during the game, your opponent can beat you by using repeated moves but aslong as you learn all the right moves you should be okay. Theres a section where you can customise your own figher which is pretty cool! The handbook that comes with it give a small description of each of the characters history, i recognised many of them from Street Fighter and if you look in the background of the fight sequences you can see many other well known characters such as Blanka and Dhalsim. ... This average but enjoyable 2-D beat-'em-up shows some potential with its impressive hyper combos and 3-D backgrounds but it fails to capture the essence of such fantastic fighters like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter Zero 3 and the background music's annoyingly tedious.

Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas (Xbox)

Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown (Xbox)

I'd give this 3.5 if there were half stars.
This is a cross between RISK and the Crystal Maze. I know this sounds weird but it's still extremely entertaining.
I played this game the first time in 1987 on the C64 and was amazed! The XBOX incarnation doesnt have the same Wow factor but it's still a game with many hours of solid strategy + not bad sub-games.
OK so the fighting isn't up to present day gore-fest quality but you can choose to do the sub-games (swordfighting, Archery + Jousting) as much or as little as you like.
The battles are a little bit fiddly but still highly charged with tension. As the box says this is "Cinemaware" and this means it plays like a film. So there is a lot of good voice acting and humour in this "film". ... Read More:

Capcom Fighting Jam (PS2)

When I first started playing this game. I felt ripped off.

The reason for this was that it only had 4 characters from each game!. Also there isnt that many levels, and the boss character was quite easy with Ryu.

The animation for this game looks beautiful, never looked so good, very smooth and the characters from the other games darkstalkers and red earth look great. Also the backgrounds jungle, new york, japan, ruins, temple and so on, are well done and feature some characters not present, cheering and working out in the background.

The music is brilliant, it just feels right and doesnt have any annoying tracks at all.

Everytime you complete the game you get the ending for which ever two characters beat the last boss ... Read More:

This is miles better than the ps2 version, i own both consoles and had to buy the game on the xbox as the ps2 version doesn't have online and as the kids dont know how to do the moves they have the option to play automatic although i still beat them being the legend i am at street fighter but its fun, its jam packed with features, everything you could want in a street fighter game. the SNK characters are surprisingly good and enjoyable to play with. anyone who likes steet fighter has got to get this game and test their skills online. you have a number of grooves to choose from which have different combo and special moove systems, you can even create your own groove to suit you, it has evil characters which have to be unlocked, vs mode, 2 types of survival mode, arcade ... MegaMan Maverick Hunter X (PSP)

My favourite series of the megaman games was always the X series !

This remake of the first of the X series boasts lush new polygon graphics while maintaining it's 2d style gameplay and the gameplay is still great as it ever was over a decade ago !

Also with the addition Ally/ Boss Voices , the kids of this generation and veteran fans of the 90s will enjoy the game even more !

Extras include : an extra game mode which allows you to play as one of the villians of the game and mini anime movie ( I say movie .... it's only 30/20 minutes ... so really i just see it as an episode ) to watch as a reward for completing the game !

This game is good as it ever was ...... I recommend this game for the kids of this generation ... Read More:
