Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge (Saturn)

Grabbed this other day for a few quid and thought id write a review. 1st of its a typical Capcom early to mid 90s fighting, very similar to playing Steet Righter Aplha in terms of graphics and special moves, along with cheesy comments from your charatcer after you win a fight. The animation is fair and graphics fair, not very good 2d by todays standards but fair enough for 1996. Its got some drawbacks though, mainly you cant save games as there is nothing extra to unlock, and there arent really many characters to choose from either. So for a blast from the past in terms of a 2D fighter its not bad, if only for a few rounds at time, but its nothing really special.

Megaman battle network is a great and extremely enjoyable game. It is much similar to megaman battle network 3: blue but with different chips to collect, different bosses and other extras to find in the game.It is the newest version of the megaman battle networks and is by far the best.So if you like megaman battle network 3: blue you will love this.Its a fun game for all ages and a must have for your gamboy advance.

Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown (Xbox)

I'd give this 3.5 if there were half stars.
This is a cross between RISK and the Crystal Maze. I know this sounds weird but it's still extremely entertaining.
I played this game the first time in 1987 on the C64 and was amazed! The XBOX incarnation doesnt have the same Wow factor but it's still a game with many hours of solid strategy + not bad sub-games.
OK so the fighting isn't up to present day gore-fest quality but you can choose to do the sub-games (swordfighting, Archery + Jousting) as much or as little as you like.
The battles are a little bit fiddly but still highly charged with tension. As the box says this is "Cinemaware" and this means it plays like a film. So there is a lot of good voice acting and humour ... Read More:

Capcom Arcade Hits Volume 3

Why bother paying 20 quid for this when you can download Commando etc for nowt from newsgroups/emulator and rom sites etc? I know the legality of doing this is a bit of a grey area but it's still a lot better than paying £20 for a collection of old games IMO.
