Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox 360)

On single-player this is a good game. However, the on-line mode makes this a truely great game. This is by far the best boxing game to come out on any console and it should appeal to any fan of the fight game.

The game play is fluid, the tactics are realistic. Im still playing the game on a regular basis and Ive had it for years.

The on-line mode is exceptional. The AI (in single player mode) is not the greatest but when playing another human player from some where around the world then this game is in a league of its own.

If your a fan of boxing and video games ... then this is a must buy.

Boogie (Nintendo DS)

I love this game !, its a beat game where you make the character dance by using your stylus in diferrent directions according to the ones that show up at the top of the screen. There are loads of songs, characters and places to dance and the they unlock as you go along, you can also design the characters outfits if you wish (:. Overall 10/10 if you like these rythem kinda games like chipmunks and elite beat agents then you will love this. (:

The Sims 2: Castaway (PSP)

This game has many pros, but also some cons and its difficult to explain all of them. But the main disappointment of this game is that i did get bored of it after the first 2 weeks of having it, and this is why - it is a bit slow. Changing from one area of the island to another is frustrating because it takes so long, and you have to go in the jungle alot to collect things. Also, mine did freeze once and i had to quit and loose everything!
However, and please do read on - there is no other game out there like this. I watch Shipwrecked and then play this and it is even more realistic than the show itself! It is also easier to play your sims - they dont get tired too quickly, and their needs are generally easier to fulfill than in the normal sims. ... Read More:

Half Life 2: Episode Pack (PC)

Let's be clear , this looks great . Episode 1 is a bit short but I finished it although I found it more difficult than half life 2 . More suitable to somebody with rapid reactions rather than brains .
Episode 2 is even worse requiring very little thought but much quicker reactions . I found parts of it completely impossible due to the speed and power of the aliens .I can't comment on the whole game as I've failed to complete it because of this .I'm just glad I waited for this issue which was quite good value . Fantastic look and feel but too little thought required.
Definitely inferior to Half life 2 unless you like action more than puzzles.

I bought this song pack at the same time as I bought the main rock band game, naively expecting the songs on it to be the ones listed in the manufacturers description of this item.

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (PS2)

This game is a dead-end, cheap, turn based combat game which defines the problem of repitition, bordom and storyline-dementia brilliantly. Basically I am congratulateing this game for being a template of what to avoid.

To give you a taster of just how cheap this game is, it end with your party teleporting in fromt of the great eye, and engaging it in turn-based combat.

The Godfather (Xbox 360)

Eurgh, this game disgusted me.
I didn't buy it, my brother did cos he loves the films, but we both think the A.I. in this game is terrible, and it sounds and looks too much like medal of honor.

Yes, there are scenes where it's from the film etc, but the graphics aren't even great.

I've never really liked EA either, the A.I. has always been crap and a bit dissapointing - and also when you're trying to kill an enemy, it locks onto someone else you don't want and may sometimes not even attack.

Wasn't worth a buy - maybe for my brother, but I thought it was crap.
Bleh - 2 stars.

this game has everything to make it an original war game, you can play with 31 other players against 32 other players making that 64 PLAYERS ON ONE SERVER!!, with a good graphics card you can stick this game on full video settings and recieve top notch graphics and get no lag, plenty of other features aswell such as promotions through ranks from private to general, even be lucky enough to command your whole side and arrange supply drops which contain health, ammo and repairs for vehicles, UAV drops to find enemy soldiers to take them out and artillery strikes at enemy bases, become a leader of a strike team of 6 people to help you keep orginised, arrange orders such as attack, defend or move to certain places, multiple vehicles to choose from such as tanks, cars ... Portal (PC DVD)

This is the game that pretty much started the internet meme "The cake is a lie".
It's a mix between a puzzle and a darkly twisted stand up comedy act, and more than half of the drive to play this was to hear the next comment on the running commentary by GLaDOS (that's the voice you'll hear as your constant companion through the levels and beyond).
Like most of the truly good ideas, the concept is simple.. It leaves you thinking both "Why did I never think of that".. And even more "That was fun, interesting and hilarious..".
I made the mistake of thinking that this game was about the twitch reactions in some places.. But found to my delight I was entirely wrong. You can solve some things with good reactions and orientation, but it also works nicely for those ... Read More:
