Dewy's Adventure (Wii)

Well done to Konami for this innovative game, fantastic fun for children and adults. Has echo's of other Konami hits such as Frogger but with lots of new and exciting ways to use the Wii controls.

A warning though - this is quite addictive and when the children finish playing it's hard not to pick up and while a way a level or two yourself!

Cheaper than other Wii games and definately one to have in the collection.

Demon Chaos (PS2)

When i first played this game i was amazed at the thousands of enemies on screen. And yet as you progress some battles throw yet more and more at you to the point that i had to check again that my PS2 hadn't transformed into a next gen console.

Technical aspects aside however, this is a game that is just fun to play with enough of a strategic slant to save it from becoming a mind numbing button basher.

Choose a weapon (do i need to be fast across the battle feild or can i sacrifice speed for a wider arc of destruction?)

Choose your tactics (do i lead the thousands of troops into the masses of enemies or order them to hold while i crash headlong into fight?)

Ok ok, this game won't immerse you to the point of no return, nor will it stun you with its gameplay.
But, in a world like ours, Rumble Roses XX is the ultimate gift to a teenage boy, and easily the most fun.

this game is aimed at youngesters not too diffuicult it doesnt take a lot of time to complete a bit short some parts are tricky and most of the game is really simple

The Silent Hill Collection (PS2)

I had heard from friends that this series was a scary one, but i was entirely unprepared for the reality of it. What makes it so frightening is not what you DO see, but what you DONT. Auditory, rather than visual horror is used fantastically. Mechanical clanking, footsteps in the distance which grow steadily louder, and that never-ending crackle of white noise - all add up to a spine-chilling experience.
Furthermore, the power of this series is boosted by its incredible storylines. Characters are believable, and plots are wholesome. However, the spookiness is maintained by the fact that you're never offered a complete explanation for why Silent Hill is like it is. The series leaves a lot to the imagination and I love this in a game/film.

Suikoden 2

To put it simply this is the best rpg of all time. I'm an avid rpg fan and can only find fault ith this and that's the graphics aren't the best, however, when in an rpg does graphics matter. The answer, it doesn't at all. Worth every penny, if you do get hold of this, DO NOT EVER let it go as this game is priceless!!

Cy Girls is actually a very imaginative game with some cool game characteristics.

You can play as either Aska your usual female ninja type or Ice, who specialises in handguns. Each character has a seperate disc and the storyline varies for each character, although the same levels are re-used for both girls.

In a way the settings are just backdrops for the stylised gameplay, although they are very smoothly visualised, and range from traditional Japanese buildings to modern high tech skyscrapers.
