Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (PC/DVD)

So, this is only the second time that I have written a review, which means that something must really be either i) great or ii) damn awful for me to write something... and that tells a lot about this game - it is unique, it is engrossing, and it is more than worthy of the price you have to pay. Let's start with the bad things - well, no official licence means no official names, and then the commentary is terrible!! - and that is it!!! - there really is nothing else that doesn't give this game the maximum possible score. At the end of the day, there is the question of the FIFA series versus the PES series, and it really depends on what you want (I own both). this game is aimed at youngesters not too diffuicult it doesnt take a lot of time to complete a bit short some parts are tricky and most of the game is really simple

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 Platinum (PS2)

i got Pro Evo Soccer 4 as part of a PS2 bundle that i bought for my 7 year old for his birthday. I worried whether he would be fussed about the lack of 'official' licenses and such like but, as another reviewer mentioned, the game play and graphics here are fantastic. This is a great game for PS2 novices and wholly sufficient for what I needed. No doubt over time my son will want some of the more personalisable features one might get with EA/FIFA but this has been great. Playablilty, graphics and so on are all top drawer. No idea how this has been 'improved' in Pro Evo 5.

International Track & Field (PS)

This game is a good laugh and has all the classic events on it. Prepare to struggle to use a knife and fork after an hour on this one! However, it is purely a track and field game. I bought it because it was cheap and was track and field and it has proved great fun, all be it a little too easy. However, I have a PS2 and as with other gamers I would really like to see a complete and playable sports game with many different events such as diving, skiing, bobsleigh, weight-lifting, archery, clay pigeon, bike riding, curling, track and field, basically with an additional range of events to choose from. Here's dreaming...

I got this a few days ago. If you're the kind of player that doesn't follow instructions andlikes to spray and pray in a FPS, then stop reading now, this isn't the game for you! I suggest you buy something mindless (but more fun) like BF2.

I recommend this for people who have patience and lots of it. Forget the way it looks, just judge it on the way it plays. If you're expecting to just waltz into the rooms just because you are the best at Raven Shield, SWAT4, Ghost Recon, GRAW or any of the other FPSs out there, you are in for a massive shock. Ok, so playing those games will help you play arcade mode, but as soon as you put it in simulation mode you'll be a dead man walking.

firstly, the workout mode is the most fun as you can just keep going without having to push a button to replay or skip to the next level. secondly, and this is my MAIN point, unless you are playing this game on the GROUND FLOOR, please be very careful about not upsetting the neighbours underneath ur floor (their ceiling) as they may hear ur stomping as ur playing and this can be very annoying to them, especially if they're trying to sleep. my advice is to either play the game when you know they'll be OUT or talk with them to arrange a suitable time when you can play. i'm not trying to be a killjoy, it's a great game (rated it 5 stars) and i hope you have a really nice time playing it but PLEASE be courteous to your neighbours, especially the ones living underneath, WHILST ... Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (PSP)

Welcome to Ys-originally released on PS2, but now converted to PSP. What's the difference? Not much, but you'll see as you read through the review.
The game follows Adol, a man who fell overboard his ship, got sucked into the great vortex and ended up on the Canaan Islands. The islands are home to two tribes, the rhedans, and the eresians. Strange goings on are occuring and each tribe blames the other, but its up to Adol to discover the truth. In truth, this game has an excellent story line.
Graphically, the game is nothing special, or at least it wasn't on PS2. The worlds are in full 3D from the woods of Quartera to the mountains of the eresian villages. The enemies, whilst vary from area to area, become repetitive, and the character design is quite flat, ... Read More:
