Well, at least I thought I was revisiting a classic. Inspired by the events of Guns Of The Patriots (don't worry, no spoilers here), I decided to pop in the old 2-discer for a bit of reminiscence, before catching on after about ten minutes that I knew the intricacies of the game all too well, going as far to predict Snake's hardly-gaming-history first meeting with Mei Ling word for word. See, after finishing this game some 32 times, I'm confident I know it better than I know my mum.

No game, except maybe the sequel, Sons Of Liberty, has ever had me coming back for more as often as Metal Gear Solid. Even the excellent latest offerings don't have the same pull on me. And despite the fact that it is effectively rendered obsolete by ... Read More:

This isn't a review because I haven't played the game, but wanted to point something out that's stopped me buying it myself (please forgive me for rating this game, but amazon won't let me post a 'review' without doing so!)...

Despite what the product description here still says the online servers for this game have now been scrapped, and it's no longer possible to play online whatsoever.

I'm sure it's still a great game, but with no online gameplay (which was what I was really after) I'll be saving my hard-earned cash for MGS4!

First of all,
There are certain new rules that you have to adjust to.
If you played forbidden memories, you may get disapointed with the new rules. So forget everything you previously knew about Yu-gi-oh! and start fresh.

There are deck costs, and you can only have a few high attack factor cards in the deck.
so that was a huge downer, i am used to play forbidden memories, and have all the good cards in one deck... without restrictions.

Then you have the summoning points too.
you only have a certain ammount of summonuning points per duel,
so if you play: Red eyes black dragon,
you can only summon low attack cards on the next turn.

However, once you get used to that, it becomes ... Read More:

Despite this game being quite a few years old now it still the best in the series. Each time I play this game it never fails to entertain. The atomsphere is dark and heavy. Not forgetting the awsome soundtrack that oozes fear. A town full of fog, snow and monsters set this game apart from other 'survival horror' games. The characters are well developed and there is a pleasent depth to the plot of silent hill, which falls into place nicely at the end of the game. With five endings to play for this is a game worth playing again. A well deserved five stars.

Being able to control two characters, however drab is a nice feature. It hardly makes up for the pathetic storyline, but at least it mixes things up a little. As usual from the DS 'vania games, expect more generic anime art and recycled monsters.

On the bright side, the ability to jump into paintings takes the scenery to exciting and different new places. Better than Dawn of Sorrow, but still pretty rubbish.

As an avid fan of the Silent Hill series I decided to get this game. I wish I hadn't the game was a complete letdown, very repetitive and not the slightest bit scary. The idea of visiting different worlds was ok but to visit them and then having to revist all of them (minus the hospital world) was just lunacy and a bore.

This game could have been so much better in many ways and the gameplay could have been extended in many other ways too. The characters I felt weren't as developed as in previous Silent Hill games. The plot was also far too staight-forward and lacked depth.

The only good aspects of this game are the soundtrack, which I found rather pleasent to listen too and the end boss fight. Overall though I didn't enjoy this game as much as the previous ones ... Read More:

Suikoden V (PS2)

Cliche story that is well conveived, with some delightful characters and some good dialogue. The story revolves around a prince trying to reclaim his kingdom lost in a coup. The fact that the bad guys are very human and that there is no ultimate evil, gives a nice flavor of realism. A little disappointingly the story turns too straightforward as it advances, and the prince experiences success too easily.
I've played Suikoden 3-5, and this one seems to have the most interesting characters to collect. Graphics are a little dated. There are a couple of good tunes, but overall the music is quite forgettable, but not annoying. Voice acting is mediocre. Load times are long, random encounters are many. Those with little patience, beware.

This is a great game with a workout mode that lets you burn lots of calories, listen and dance at the same time as having fun! It has four differant levels to each song (the basic "beginner", "standard" and "difficult" with an extra one thrown in for "experts". As you work through the levels you will be introduced to new charactures who will dance along in front of phycadellic backgrounds! There are also loads of songs to chose from, ranging from very slow to VERY FAST!
BUT...The only problem is that this is a wonderful game for beginners, if you are like me, you will want more. I have heard of games that let you make your own sequences up and have arrows that dissapear, when i found out that my game had very few of those features, i was a little depressed.
but dont let that stop you from buying it, its ... Read More:

I have been a DDR fan now for a good 6 or 7 years, I have followed the UK games such as Euromix and Euromix2.. and then on to megamix for the ps2 and all the others.
This game is by far the best one i have been on so far, the songs arent bad and you get a good mix fo the japanese songs and such. Only downside right now is the fact that i have lost the disk whilst moving, i have the box but no game.. so im GUTTED!

If you can get your hands on this game i will definatly recommend it. And now i hear of a new game coming out in feb next year... *w00p w00p* i really cant wait for that.
