This title offers a solid preview of the other side of XBOX 360: the Live Arcade. It is evidently aimed at those who aren't part of the XBOX Live Arcade (XBLA) online community, and provides those gamers with a taster for the kind of title offered.

The pick of the bunch has to be Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Loosely based on the gameplay of classic Robotron: 2084 (incidentally also available on XBLA), it is a fast, engrossing and sharp game that has a real appeal to the serious gamer. Microsoft Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003

I find MS Office 2003 S&T edition meets most of my needs - but I miss Access, even though I only used it occasionally. Contrary to other people's experience, I can spell-check other languages - eg set Microsoft Office Language Settings to enable French, and then in Word under Tools/Language/Set Language tick "detect language automatically". This should find French text and spell-check it fine, even in mixed English/French documents.

Forza MotorSport (Xbox)

I actually had this when I bought my Xbox from Argos,along with Halo 2,I wouldn't have rushed out to buy it as I find Gran Turismo one of the most stifling games around,You fail the license time and time again as you clipped the verge once to often and end up repeating the same race over and over..I had a VW Beetle in GT3 and could only enter about two races all because I hadn't fulfilled some cretinous criteria which I would never use again.
Forza on the other hand is fantastic,as long as you don't come last you get some credits,Don't feel like attempting a 15 lap race?,let the drivatar do it,hopefully.
Also the opponents aren't like slot cars,they will make mistakes,I've quite often been trailing only to find a pile up on a hairpin bend ... Read More:

Zoo Tycoon (PC)

Its a challenging fun game that takes at least some thought but its easy to work. I only gave it a 3/5 because i bought mine when they released zoo tycoon 2 so i was a little late.
In my opinion, dont bother renting or buying it to try it, just go straight for zoo tycoon 2. ;-)

Well, I thought this game was enormous fun. The commentry is so bad its good, the games are simple but varied enough and fun and frankly its very cheap now.

No good as a single player game though!

The single player game is really very good. It has a very engaging storyline and will take about 11-12 hours to complete. However, the real fun in this game is in multiplayer.

In multiplayer you don't just get pitched in random battles against random people, you create a character which starts off as a humble being in a massive world of bigger, scarier and far wealthier people. You can be a trader, or just fight your way to the top. Need some help? Join a clan, heck, you can even start a clan, if you can group together some friends and give yourself a name, then you won't stop playing for months if not years.

MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries (PC)

lets just start with the problems of this game, like most team based games there are tooooo many buttons to handle, but after a while, you'll find that you only need about three of the command buttons, and once you've sorted the controls to suit you (strangely it suits a fps type controller) your away and the game just goes from strength to strength.

the graphics may be a little dated, but tbh i was having too much fun to care, its a seriously addictive game, and joining different clans and doing different missions gives it a boost to replay value. The tornament mode is a defining point in the game and you can just stay there working through the ranks to become the king of the jungle, factory or coloseum. you can spend hours fighting other mechs in this ...
