Game Boy Advance SP Tribal Limited Edition

I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine.

Let's get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn't as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one!

So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. Star Wars Episode I: Racer (N64)

I think the number of reviews here are proof that Racer isn't for everyone. I think this is great, the graphics match the pc's and the gameplay is spot on. The pod's handle brilliantly and the tracks are amazing. The speed of the races adds to the fun. If you can handle the speed then you will enjoy this. All I can say is, if you want a new type of racing game with high speed thrills, buy this.

Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (GBA)

By now the name 'Mario can only echo to the world mushrooms, evil turtles and 'flower power'. Oh yeah and of course, the greatest video game character of all time. Yoshi's Island is an excellent game, and the spirit of challenge and fun runs throughout from the start to the all-mighty finish! Oh, and considering the main character IS NOT MARIO but his trustworthy friend and pseudo-babysitter Yoshi; gamers can expect an experience that's just a little bit different.

Wing Island (Wii)

Wing Island (Wii)
First of all, what Wing Island is not!, it's not a shoot em up, it's not a microsoft flight sim where you learn to fly realistically, including all the tedious training and hours of learning all the intricate flight controls.

What Wing Island IS it's pure and simple fun, easy to learn, relaxing, when it's pouring rain and generaly miserable outside, you are flying in beautiful weather, blue skys!, you can just buzz around free as a bird - or you can play in strory mode and accept missions, and if you want to you can challange your family and friends to head to head challanges, so there you have it, simple controls and relaxing fun,

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (GameCube)

Crystal Chronicles may have its flaws, but it's still a game worthy enough to be played in a wide time-span.

The character selection is actually quite interesting in the way that you are not restricted to one character to fight through the storyline. You can choose to specialise in strength, defence, magic, speed, and you even get a variety of looks to choose from. You gotta admit that's quite cool.

The levels also make a nice change from other FF games, as you have a nice variety of landscapes and enemies to fight through. The graphics on the water (thinking River Belle Path here) is actually quite amazing... but the monsters and especially the bosses are also pleasing to look at graphically. The music is also a nice touch (and VERY catchy ... Read More:

Nintendo Blue SP Console (GBA)

This Gameboy is wow, wow and wow again...I Think The DS Is Better But This has great games etc etc. Its also pretty cheap now, i got it when it came out for around £99-£109 No SPs Cost about £36-£50. If You Cant Aford the DS At £90, This Is A Great Offer. I Recomend this greatly as the picture quality is great, it comes with a built in light, stylisd design and is almost unbreakable. I Hope This is helpful to You.

F-Zero GX (GameCube)

The Frist time I played F-zero GX, I found it ridiculously hard, especially the story mode. That may be a downside, but it consistantly makes you want to try harder and get past whatever obsticle your having trouble with. As soon as you are able to race well and know things such as snaking, the game becomes amazing. The game simply allows the player to accelerate at high speeds and zoom through any winding, dangerous track you play on. If you have ever found the F-Zero X controls difficult, do not worry about these controls. They are simple, easy and make the game more realistic.

Unlocking the F-Zero AX pilots is hard, but a great challenge along with all the other secrets in this game. Story mode is VERY difficult for beginners but keep practicing and trying different ... Read More:

Game Boy Micro (Pink)

For £21, if you're just gonna' play single-player games, or use the MP3 player, this system will do you, however if you want to do multiplayer, you're gonna' have to spend about the same ammount again to get the necessary cables, and the same yet again for the wireless converter, as for GC/GBA games such as Final Fantasy, you won't be able to use it as a controller for the game, apparantly Nintendo couldn't spare the extra 2mm and give us a regular port.

This would bring the total cost up to £60, which you might as well put towards a DS.

Lack of ease to connect with multiplayer, and no cross-console connectivity make this a multiplayers bane, and is a waste of £21.

Avoid like the plague, save up a few extra pennies, and get a DS, it doesn't offer ... Read More:
