Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (White)

Having religiously avoided computer games since the early nineties PC version of games, buying this impressive little piece of kit was a revelation. Bought with the popular Brain Training software programme, we've used this everyday on a recent holiday and had good fun with it, proving that families can indeed be brought together for fun with technology rather than becoming uncommunicative zombies!

The DS lite is well-constructed, and seems to have an excellent battery life, making it ideal for travel. As far as Brain Training goes - well the novelty wears of pretty quickly, although the temptation is always there to have just one more try to get your brain age down to a respectable number. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)

The best way to describe this game is brilliant, it makes you think about what you are doing aswell as enjoying it, right at the beginning - when you have rounded up the goats on the ranch and you jump into the village, you have little mysteries to solve, you approach people and speak to them, and they each have a little problem, you need to sort out their problem, for instance the small thin man moaning about the bees nest - you have to figure out how to knock down the bees nest, I wont give too much away but you have to buy a sling shot from the local shop, I used the sling shot to knock down the bee hive, also the lady who owns the shop has lost her cat, so until you find her cat and return it - you cannot buy anything from her shop! Pokémon Pearl (Nintendo DS)

Pokemon diamond and pearl are the best pokemon games ever! The graphics are silmilar to harvest moon, however they're lots better. The music is cute. There are loads of pokemon to collect. You get to play as a boy or a girl so i recommend it to girls and boys age 8-14.

I cannot beleive some people gave this game a 1 star!!!!

Surely if oyu like pokemon previous games for gameboy advanced and S then why on earth dont you like this game!?!?!!?!?
No way is it "exactly like previous games" well the origin is still the same as in an adventure with 2 evil villians and you trying ot catch pokemon, but hey thats why everyone LOVED pokemon games so much!!
and it isnt the same because you do use the stylus i think and theres a different story-line as usual and overall is a well put together game!

If you are a fan of pokemon games this is a must buy!
Really ignore the others, if you look at there other reviews there just moody >:|, lol

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)

I brought the DS for this game and I really enjoyed it. It's not at all as good as Twilight Princess, but it's a very good edition to the Zelda series. I was actually going off Zelda before I got this one. You must buy this!!!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (Nintendo DS)

For those of you have enjoyed the Pokemon games over the years, or at the very least played the recent ones, you should definitely enjoy this game. After collecting, battling, trading and so much more with your favourite Pokemon, you can now BE a Pokemon. Better still, the game tells you what kind of Pokemon you are by asking you a variety of questions then testing your 'aura'. You then pick a Pokemon partner from the list (they can't be the same Pokemon type as you) and then you get to name them! You then end up on a beach with no memory of being a human, and then your partner comes along and finds you. After some dialogue, you're ready to start your first adventure!

Nintendo Wii Classic Controller (Wii)

So I was around a friends house and I saw he had one of these snazzy controllers and I had had a bad experience with the unofficial wii gamecube controller clones (the cables are *really* short*...) so I thought I'd get one of these babies.

So I've just received my order and fired up my copy of Resident Evil 1 ready for some thrills and spills and to my absolute dismay it does not work with Gamecube games.

Now this I hardly believe is a technical problem I think Nintendo engineered it NOT to work because you'd get all the great cheap gamecube games and play them and not as many Wii games.

Thankfully I've got a few controllers ordered off of Ebay so it's not a total wash out but I am really disappointed that this doesn't work. The reason ... Read More:

Mario Party (Nintendo DS)

Mario party is a brilliant game. The board game isn't that good, however the mini games are the best! Some are really random like racing around on bar of soap(my speciality) or taking pictures of the other players. I played it with my friends on a 21 hour coach journey and it made time fly. The graphics are like most Mario games(in other words great) and all your favourite characters are there....Yoshi, Peach, Toady and of course Mario. I recomend it to good gamers age 9-50. So to sum up this game I'd say....BUY IT NOW!!!

Green DS Lite Console (Nintendo DS)

Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience.
The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. It's clear the Japanese gaming gurus took onboard all of the initial criticisms (of which there were not many) and built something that defies all expectations of handheld gaming.

Nintendo Wii Component Cable (PEGA, Boxed) [video game]

These cables are great value, and they're exactly the same thing that Nintendo would charge you £20 for!

For those of you who have seen an Xbox 360 or PS3 in HD on a HDTV might be disapointed however, since, whilst these cables are not at fault, the Wii itself is.

The Wii will not display at 720p/1080i/1080p (HDTV resolutions) but will in fact only display at 480i/576i (standard definition) or 480p (enhanced definition). Whilst there is a significant difference when compared to the composite cables (red white and yellow) there is not much difference to be made if you are already using an S-Video cable or Scart cable.
