FF XII is really frustrating. At first I was worried about the new battle system, gambits & the lack of random encounters. However, the new system actually works very well & generally makes the gameplay more enjoyable. In a game as big as this, it would take forever to navigate around if you had to deal with endless random enemies. I actually think it's too big & the game lacks focus as a result. I almost quit playing halfway through because it got repetative & the story is dull & confusing to the point where I didn't know whose side I was on or what I was meant to be doing.
On the positive side:
There are loads of different kinds of weapons & the Bows & other ranged weapons are good fun. I really ... Read More:

When I saw that Square Enix were going to mix the characters from the Disney Movies with Final Fantasy I could not see how it would work. Disney games in the past have always been very basic and for the younger gamer whereas Final Fantasy is for hardcore gamers who dont mind spending hours on end to level up there character. However, no one does RPG's like Square-Enix and once again they have passed all expectations and produced a great action RPG which is up there with the best of them.
You play the role of Sora, a young boy who's world gets attacked by the heartless: an evil organisation run by Disney villans, and gets separated from his best friends Rikou and Kairi who become sucked into the "darkness". In a quest to find his friends ... Read More:

I have never played any of the Final Fantasy games so when I bought a PSP I decided it was time to at least try one. I have found the game to be addictive and easy to play. The graphics are clear, and easy to see on the small screen. The only real drawback is the lack of engaging storyline to drive you forward. The world is quite large and as you move round you find small elements of plot but these are very small and don't help that much.
For the price and ease of game play this is a must buy as it can provide a little distraction whilst waiting for something else, but I don't find it engages my attention for much more than half an hour at a time.

Dirge of Cerberus is by far and away the worst entry into the final fantasy cannon, let alone the FF7 series. The game is a incredibly lacklustre shooter that would just have been ignored if it wasn't for the words 'Final Fantasy' in the title. The gameplay itself is poor, enemy ai is incredibly basic and it is a incredibly easy game to beat, you don't even have to change your gun much. Its a short game too, it can be beaten in 8-10 hours (if you watch the numerous cutscences). Even though the gameplay is poor the storys good right? Well short answer no. Final fantasy games are known for having epic involving stories, the same can't be said for this game. It follows Vincent Valentine, a secret charachter in the original. You find out a little about his past and deal ... Read More:

I waited almost 3 years for this, and I pre ordered it. When Squaresoft merged with Enix, and because SquareEnix. I think they lost the plot. The main Composer left, who had done all the score to all the games.
In Final Fantasy 7 8 9, there was a very strong bond between the characters, even in 10 there was a bond.
In this game, there is non. The characters, they are just there for the sake of it. No real story line in the characters apart from a little in Balthear.
To me this game is so repetitive, boring, You wander around endlessly to find where you have to go. the grafix aren't as good as in Final Fantasy X and even in the older games like FF7 FF8. There are no Summoning of GFs, Aions exc. Just Limit breaks.

I just thought I'd post what I believe to be a fair review of this MMORPG, as most of the reviews I read before I started playing were wholely negative. Although the game has its flaws, I wouldn't say it was a bad game at all.
Prior to playing this, I have played both 'World of Warcraft' and 'EverQuest II'. Both of these games (especially the former) are extremely user friendly. The game takes good care of you for the first 10 levels of gameplay, and makes sure that you always know exactly what you are doing. 'FFXI' is not like this. Even after watching the video manual disk provided, I had very little idea of what I was doing. You are started in a huge city and quests and missions are not marked at all. Basically, before you even begin, you have to spend a good few ... Read More:
The Kingdom Hearts series is renowned for being a thing of greatness. Ever since Kingdom Hearts 1, the once-unfathomable idea of Disney and Final Fantasy crossing over has proved to be a thing of true-creative genius, beautiful presentation and totally enjoyable gameplay.
With this Platinum release, it now means you can treat yourself to a classic at a bargain price. And I can't recommend it enough. Two years after its original release, it's STILL a mandatory purchase.
Kingdom Hearts 2 takes place a year after the events of Chain of Memories. But before Sora, Donald and Goofy make their return, the story starts out in a world called Twilight Town, focusing on a newcomer called Roxas. Roxas is being plagued with dreams of Sora and soon finds himself subjected to ... Read More:

The first thing to say about this game is that it's NOT an immersive open-ended rpg that offers you detailed character development and fully customisable equipment. Instead, this game is an immersive, fairly linear rpg with a huge array of different characters with different strengths and weaknesses, but extremely limited customising options.
The plot of the game is linear, running almost like a movie with all the interspersed cut-scenes. The moving from side to side as the main form of movement for me wasn't a problem at all, and the backgrounds are mostly beautiful. The battles are novel, with a combination of real-time and turn-based fighting, which allows a more tactical battle than many other rpgs (although with some opponents, it is very much a turn-based battle). The ... Read More:
