Tetris Worlds

I bought this for me and my other half as we both love Tetris. I was excited to play the new modes as well as having a classic game of the usual multiplayer brawls (which I usually lose). Yet we've played for hours we can't for the life of us find just the original mode where if you hit the top of the screen your out! Now it seems that you gain points for clearing lines of blocks instead and as you level up you need more points to win, thus in theory evening the playing field. Sadly its nowhere near as good and some games are over in under a minute. Yet another game updated to be dumbed down.

I've yet to try 4 player mode yet but at least that's a welcome addition and some of the new versions of Tetris are nice distractions and ... Read More:

The Incredibles: Rise Of The Underminer (Nintendo DS)

This game has really good graphics and the superpowers are really good. You can switch between any of the two character's at any time. It is a bit difficult sometimes when you have to keep switching. Two player is VERY fun but the other player needs to own the game :(. In the other reviews they say it is compleated in a day, but i haven't compleated it yet (probably because I'm not adictied to games as much). So if you llike action games this is good because:
- you have lots of powers
- good graphics
- lots of robots to kill
- good use of the touch screen

Cars (PSP)

This is a pretty decent game. The tracks are fun, the graphics are great and the cars are a refreshing and fun change from the likes of Ridge Racer. The lack of free roam does make it similar to other racing games, but the actual races and cars make up for it. Definetly worth the money!

Bratz: Forever Diamondz (PS2)

As my 7 year old daughter puts it:-
"I love this game! The main characters are Jade, Cloe (my favourite), Sasha and Jasmine - you can make friends with Fianna, Roxxi, Phoebe, Dylan, Cameron and others. You can design posters, you can adopt your own pet (a cat or a dog), you can buy lots of clothes and shoes, and jewellery too. You go to different places around the world such as Stylesville, New York, and Florida (Miami I think). You can send and receive text messages, visit different shops, take photos, change the front cover of your mobile phone and lots, lots more!! I could play this game for HOURS!!"

And she does.....

Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights (PSP)

The graphics for this game are absolutely amazing and leave games like MIdnight Club in the shade. The driving experience is is easy to use and easy to learn. It has great tunes including the theme from Hackers, these play in the background as you drive and are a great feature.

The betting and pink slip races are spot on and can be equally frustrating and exciting as you gamble your hard earned cars and seek to mod new ones. The most fun is the range of cars in the game from the Civic Type-R to the Dodge American muscle cars.

This is a truly great game that hasnt left my PSP for 2 weeks. 5 stars!

The Punisher (Xbox)

This is a truly excellent game, I have been wound up too many times recently by games that try to be something that they simply aren't, designers that are full of themselves and try to make their game a piece of art, or include X number of new features. The Punisher is a comic book inspired combat game, and it works, end of statement.

The game its self is Max Payne style in game play, but a lot more smooth and refined, the shooting is complimented by a vast array of close combat moves, where if you get close enough to the enemy you can tap a button and have the Punisher end their life, with plenty of gore. This game is FAB I enjoy taking it to my friend's house and we both just simply LOVE IT!The graphics are very good,and the robots are interusting, espicilly the ones with driil arms.We call it 10 stars even though it's off the limit.

Avatar: The Legend of Aang (PS2)

Well, to begin with its pretty dull coz aang can only do like 2 moves, but once you learn the others, and collect katara and hiru, it's awesome! it follows the story line pretty well, and you do all different stuff which combines general ps2 tasks with avatar stuff. its not a kids game, im 13 and I luuuurrrve it! The only thing I would say was that Aang can only air bend, but you've got katara who water bends and hiru (that guy in that episode where they see him earthbending and its forbidden in their village which is controlled by fire nation, he gets arrested for earthbending and put on this metal barge with other earth benders, including hirus father, vair good) can earthbend and saka can fight pretty well, and often ive been fighting people and I've seen ... Worms: Open Warfare (PSP)

Along with Lemmings this is a classic Amiga game also! now re-living on the PSP. I'm pleased to say its pretty much the same gameplay and style with an updated feel to the graphics. Best played against someone although passing the PSP between you can be a pain! but it adds to the enjoyment to wipe out your friends personally named worms!. INCOMING!
