WOW! Being new to CIV, i didn't know what to expect. I had been pondering over whether or not to buy this game since September. And buying this was a great choice and idea for mny reasons.

Here's why;

Graphics: 9.0 - Amazing until you really zoom in. But this game is meant for keeping quite zoomed out until you enter a battle or fight at whic point the camera automatically zooms in. This is not a hinderance though, i find the graphics very detailed. The leaders and videos are very well animated and are very detailed aswell.

Top Spin 3 (PS3)

I have had Smash Court Tennis 2 and Virtua Tennis 3 and was waiting for Vitrtua Tennis 4 and decided to see what Top Spin 3 was like.

Having played Virtua tennis it is a little difficult to change between the two games, mainly because on Virtua tennis it is impossible to hit the net and it is impossible to hit the ball out, no matter how badly you time the shot the ball will go in.

On Top Spin 3 however, if you miss time the shot, you will either not get it quite where you want it or hit it out or at the net, if you go for a high risk shot and miss time it, you will not get it in. This is a review for people who don't usually play games like Civ - Dev, not for any Civ fans or obsessives who can devote whole days and weeks to strategy games :) - it's just for people who've tried the demo.

To be fair this is not the usual type of game I like but after trying the demo from PSN I was surprised to see how involved I was in the game trying to get a Domination win before the demo ran out.

Once I managed that I got the full game and found that the demo length pretty much matched my attention level - once past that point I quickly started to find that with all the extra cities and units I'd made the whole game was more tedious than challenging. I just spent 35 mins a review only to have my computer crash before it was sent.

Needless to say, this is a miss.

The turn based system is far too slow

You cant builds units and builds simultaneously, which means it takes ages to do anything.

Really this has nothing on Command and Conquer, dont waste your money, i'm selling mine

Carnival: Fun Fair Games (Wii)

This game is great as a multiplayer game, we have played it with 4 people and its really fun. The games you play in a multiplayer game are picked at random, so you never know what games your going to get and usually anybody can win.

As people have said, the single player is not as good, but for £15 you really cant go wrong - everybody should own this!

Top Spin 3 is the most realistic tennis game to date. 2K SPORTS have fixed a number of things from Top Spin 2 - the first being the camera angle - you can now view the game with your player being closest to you. The graphics are unbelievable (at times - its like a real tennis match). Things have also been added, the ability to tire out your opponent, hitting cross court shots, making them run for it will tire them out, not only will you tell physically - but also visually! Players now become hot and bothered, also becoming dirty as the match progresses. A whole new control system has been introduced making the play more precise - you feel 100% in control of your player (if you want to hit a shot earlier than normal - so be it)

Topspin 3 (Wii)

I played the game for 20 minutes and i know i will be taking it back to trade in.

Response is terrible.
No player control.
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO USE THE NUNCHUCK!!!!

Was really hoping this would be a quick game and it has disapointed me!
I'll be taking it back tomorrow! Whoever tested this game has to think seriously next time.

there is no 2 ways about it,this game is the most original game ive ever had the privillage to play.totally unique.i love the insane nature of it just like killer 7 on the gamecube.for ben murphy on here saying it isnt the classic everyone expected ive got one message for him.your in a minority sunshine.when you know more about video games please come here and post.you know nothing,because if you did you would know this IS THE GAME EVERYONE SAIS IT IS.YOU NEED A LITTLE MORE EXPERIENCE ME THINKS.

Bioshock (PC DVD)

Oh I am so annoyed at this game!

I had to give the overall rating of the game 3 stars simply due to the technical issues which I am sure you have read many other times in other reviews about Bioshock. It is a major pain and if it were not for that then it would have definately have the full 5.

But all that aside this is truly an awesome game. The role-playing/FPS/horror look that it went for certainly paid off giving us a very stylish and well drawn game. The setting is superb, caught somewhere between hell and 'the olden days' offering us some great scenery and a fantastic musical score.

The storyline is very well thought up, and provides a good amount of twists to keep you interested and at times, genuinely taken aback.
