Rainbow Six

from: Take 2 Interactive

This is the first ever rainbow 6 and is in a league of it's own. although the graphics are pretty bad what do you expect from a game that is about as old as the console you play it on. A great a array of weapons and gadgets give you the ability to do just about anything you could do in real life. It's near perfect balance of stealth and 'kill everything that moves' give every gamer an enjoyable ride. The only anoying thing that makes it miss five stars is in the missions with hostages the hostages themselves are both very slow and unbelivably stupid. They follow you but take the shortest rout towards you, with a blatent disregard for the laws of physics, 'no that wall wont let you through...........even if you ask nicely'.

Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr (PC)

from: Take 2 Interactive

October 06, 2000
I've had the three Blair Witch computer games ever since I bought The Blair Witch Experience set several years ago, but I've never really taken any of them for a spin until now. Given the pathetic nature of the second movie, I had to wonder what kind of content might be stretched across three whole games. The Rustin Parr case makes a natural choice for the first volume, as it's really the most visceral and disturbing part of the fictional Blair Witch legend. You all remember Rustin Parr - the guy who killed seven kids in his basement, walked to Burkittsville to announce he was finally finished, and testified that the Blair Witch made him do it. You don't actually get to meet Rustin Parr in this game, but you do sort of follow in his footsteps.

Space Station Silicon Valley (N64)

from: Take 2 Interactive

Ok, I'm a novice gamer and found the first few levels of Silicon Valley reasonably easy. However, after that the difficulty level increases dramatically...There are so many different strategies you can take in order to complete a level, it's often very hard to decide which one will be most successful, and I personally find this frustrating but I guess it makes it more challenging too.

I think it would benefit from the ability to be able to choose to change into any animal that you have already killed in any of the levels, because there are several occasions where you know exactly what animal is needed in a particular situation but you can't find one anywhere, and you end up getting killed in the process. Also I don't like the fact that when ... Read More:

Myth III: The Wolf Age

from: Take 2 Interactive

November 02, 2001
After the perfection of Warcraft 3, I thought I'd never find a strategy game as good. I was wrong. I was wandering though my local games shop when this caught my eye, on sale it was only, £5! I put this in the drive, an started the campaign. The graphics were amazing, for what I had expected for 5 pounds. The gameplay is easy, if a little confusing to begin with. and some of the effects are utterly stunning. The explosions which ripple the earth an obliterate enemies are breath-taking. The missions are involving, with an amazing story line that involves the gamer entirely. my only major quibble is the amounts of reading required to understand this story line, with a good 4-5 pages of written text between missions. My personal favourite part of this game ... Read More:

ESPN NHL 2K5 (Xbox)

from: Take 2 Interactive

January 28, 2005
Game play wise, ESPN NHL 2K5 is simply the closest to real hockey you will find on any format. SEGA have got so many things right with this game it is astounding. The presentation of the game has always been good with the 2K franchise and the same applies here. There are also a wealth of different modes to play, which will satisfy most, if not every, hardcore hockey nut. The franchise mode is the most impressive, as it enables you to feel very in-control over your team, but doesn't lumber you with innane tasks such as setting ticket prices and so on. Other modes include Tournaments, International included, Season, Play-offs, Pick-up, Party Mode, and also Skills Competitions. There are also loads of unlockables to collect such as classic teams, jerseys, ... Read More:

Rainbow Six

from: Take 2 Interactive

To play rainbow six you have to understand the concept of the game. Its not simply run in there all guns blazing like on goldeneye, you have to think and plan each careful stage of the mission and how to incapitate each bad guy.

One of the people reviewing the game said something on the lines of "you can't pick ammo up from the bad guys!" well if your using a .45 calibre desert eagle and the terrorists are using AK's then how can you take there ammo. The game is realistic and for that reason it might not appeal to certain audiences, i'm a hardcore Goldeneye and Perfect Dark veteran and i still like this game. Thanks for your time.

Torino 2006 Winter Olympics (PC)

from: Take 2 Interactive

January 27, 2006
Torino 2006 is a enjoyable game. But there is some improvement to be done. First the graphics are top class, possibly the best graphics for any sports PC game (Make sure you have good RAM, 512 or more would be good, a decent processor Intel Pentium 4 HT and try to have Microsoft XP). There is a multiplayer mode (up to 4 players), also the commentary isn`t bad even its 2 random American guys, but they use realistic phrases.
The bad point is that there is no depth to the game. Theres only 15 events as well as that they is no career mode or anything. Where is the snowboarding events? Why isn`t there a career mode or something similiar?
Anyway its a decent game but you might get bored with it after a while.
