When the original game is a groundbreaking masterpiece, its sequel rarely lives up to the unavoidable hype. There are notable exceptions of course (BALDUR's GATE II and MAX PAYNE II spring to mind). However, NEVER had I been so DISAPPOINTED with a sequel more than DUNGEON SIEGE II!
Following the innovative and brilliant original DS, the anticipation was so great that minor flaws would be forgiven. With DS2, though, it was one big blunder after another.
Contrary to the original DS (for which one had to physically tear himself from the computer screen) this one is a boring chore. Running back and forth to the base camp to barter equipement is a tedious procedure with all the fun sucked out of it. Moreover, no matter how much ... Read More:

this game is amazing. the graphics are good and so is the gameplay. the franschise mode has improved and is very good. on this game you can make your own team and players and make them play against nhl teams. not only can you make the players you can choose from a list of names and the names will be mention when that player had the puck. its great fun to play and a must have.

My daughter is now 5 years old and has been playing and enjoying this game for a year. The game does not let Dora character 'die' in any level. It is colourful, fun and interactive with many different levels of the same style but with different activities. Fantastic buy! We need more like it.

The recomended age group for this game is 12+, but there can't be many twelve year olds that would have the academic ability to solve the majority of puzzles included in this game. It has stuck largely to the book, with some variations to make the game more enjoyable. To anyone who has not read the book, the puzzles would be incredibly difficult as, although they do not follow exactly the same answers that are present in the book, they are very relevant to the storyline.
Some long speeches included that are relevant to solving the puzzles, but are also dull and cannot be skipped through which makes it seem very long winded at points. Despite these weak points however, I am thoroughly enjoying the game as it has good content, the ... Read More:

Basically, the game is ok. It's a marked improvement over the last one, but mostly gameplay-wise. The fusion attacks are pretty nice and work well against large groups of enemies (what they were made for anyway). Everything looks pretty good, but mostly the character models and cutscenes. The campaign is fairly leghty and will keep you entertained for quite a while.
The ability to play as all 4 at any given time is a big plus, not to mention, more abilities for each of the four. While the thing is useful for just smashing through enemies, the human torch requires more skill with the fireballs and stuff, Mr. Fantastic is fun to use sometimes, with those stretchy attacks, and the Invisible Woman is fun to sneak past people and use ... As mentioned on other reviews, you're quite unlikely to play the older versions of the games once you've played the more recent versions.
Unless you're a diehard Civ fan, that is.
For people that tried to make their own units, have scratched their original CDs to unplayable levels, or just never owned their own copies of the first 2 or 3 games, this is a great collection at a bargain price.
To top it off, you get a copy of Civ IV thrown in!
It's a can't-miss deal for any fan of turn-based strategy, made even better if you're a fan of the Civilization series. With the tech tree printouts, podcasts and DVD you get an insight into the design of the whole series. Highly recommended, even if you only play the ... Read More:

Railroad Tycoon 3 is a fantastic game for any train lover. The idea of Railroad Tycoon (to build rail lines and thus a rail empire) has been taken to the highest level with a beautiful game engine. Track-building through mountains becomes a genuine joy when you watch your trains curve around the edges of the mountains, leap across valleys on high bridges, or dive beneath the peaks into a tunnel, following your carefully planned route.
The campaign and scenarios are very varied and fun, following the develpoment of railways from the 1830s in the UK and New England right up to three 'future' scenarios set in a world ravaged by global warming. But be warned, veterans of RRT2, many scenarios are very similar to ones in the last game.
Well, this is a good outing of Mr Nukem. The game is well put together with 32 levels. 29 single player and 3 multi-player. Speaking of which, the multi-player game is good. You can blast your friends into tiny bits and listen to them scream. Or (and this is my favorite) you can play cooperatively with your friends and drop even more hurt on those aliens. The split screen works well and the game stays nice and smooth.
There are a few new weapons: a grenade launcher, a pair of sub-machine guns (very satisfying), and a plasma cannon which makes a nuke look like a barbecue lighter. However, they took some weapons out too, including the regular plasma gun, the freezer, and that great triple barreled machine gun. So it comes out about even.

Enough about the game its amazing and you know it if your looking at this deal.
The BAG - Its small, well made, stylish and has plenty of pockets, but it is small, and weak, you cant really use it for school/college but as a sports bag it could be useful.
The BOOK - The images are really interesting, you get concept art and then CGI transformations and such, it looks really good.
The CD - No big names, Prodigy help on 1 song. There quite good but not to my taste, more of a rnb, rap and eastern europe style.
The LOCKBOX - Sturdy, well built and is like the tardis, its bigger on the inside. It can store quite a few xbox games with ease, around 10. You get 2 keys which is a plus as i always loose things like that.
The KEYRING - I think its pewter, good casting although ... Read More:
