Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (Xbox 360)

from: Ubisoft

December 02, 2005
I had a bit of a interest in this game because of it's looks and the achievements, and then my brother found the game for just a juicy £5 online at Amazon, so I asked him to buy it and I'd paid the money. It's just recently I managed to play it and get it done with and to be honest, it is fairly good.

The King Kong game is based on Peter Jackson's King Kong Movie. The King Kong Game was released on the launch day when the XBox 360 came out back in late 2005 and I have seen quite a few people on my friend's list, which actually own this game.

The story of King Kong is when Carl looses business in his filming career and decided to think of a final solution. The solution was to get his filming crew arranged, plan and ... Read More:

Catz (Wii)

from: Ubisoft

December 07, 2007
We bought this ( like many others judging from many responses to it on the web ) thinking it was gonna be a cute feline version of Nintendogs kinda experience ( feed , play with & generally look after your animal etc ) . Instead it's got long winded dialogue ( very ) & whilst the graphics may look like a game for 4 year olds it's unlikely they could actually play the main adventure even with help .

This game is basically a cat based role playing game where you can get bitten by snakes , locked in jail oh and die etc & none of thats done particularly well either . Our little daughter described it as "scary" & we'd agree - the content for her & just how bad the gameplay is for us ( even as adults it's like wading ... Read More:

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 (Xbox)

from: Ubisoft

After playing many FPS games that had a "Blow up everything in your way" gameplay it was nice to get my hands on a little more of a tactical game. Rainbow Six 3 breaks away from mindless shooting and adds alot more thought to the FPS genre.

The game puts you in control of a squad of 3 men who act as covering fire aswell as other back up and support. This adds to the games diversity and you feel a real sense of leadership as you command your troops. Also the game is alot more realistic to other FPS games, in RS3 if you take a couple bullets you die and if you happen to live you dont have any method of regaining your health as there are no health packs. This is one of the elements that makes the game so tactical, the minute you come under ... Read More:

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials (PSP)

from: Ubisoft

IT'S RUBBISH!!!

Splinter cell essentials is really just Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory stuck together with that nasty cheap glue you get in Pound Shops...

The game is set by flashbacks, which makes it very convinient for Ubisoft to use the exact came maps with slight changes so the PSP can handle it... they have used the same sounds, the controls are stupid - press circle to ove the camera, which is impossible in combat situations, ans which also means the configuration that's been kept the same for all previous games has randomly been changed... move sam, move the camera, look around, move him another metre... and to crouch, press Square, unlike the usual Circle... it's so annoying... and they swapped the shoulder buttons around ... This game is ok. The missions are not bad and the graphics are alright. Got bored after a while and have only played half the game and im not rushing to play the other half. If you can afford this game then its worth a buy but if your strapped for cash just dont bother.

Rayman (PS)

Right well I'm almost 17 and I still think Rayman is one of the best games ever made. The "double-figure" thing is absolute garbage. Obviously doesn't appreciate the classics, which are and always will be.. the best games. A must buy game for any serious gamer!

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (Xbox 360)

from: Ubisoft

February 15, 2008
Dark Messiah is a game which I really wanted to excel in all areas. The multiplayer looked promising and the psychics and combat promised to be terrific. Sadly the game falls short on a variety of levels, especially the story. Avoid this failed title, as it's just not worth your time.

The Good:
- Nice graphics and level design

The Bad:
- Laughable Storyline
- Terrible Mplayer
- Poor Optimization, choppy in places

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (PSP)

from: Ubisoft

You cannot seriously compare the PSP version with the PS3 version. The controls are different, but you should know that if you own a PSP in the first place! It takes about 30 mins to get used to the controls but once you have its easy to play.

The levels are challenging and its definitely not a 'run and gun' action game but more suited to people who use stealth, a bit like the SOCOM games in that respect.

The graphics for a PSP game are among the best i have seen and the online multiplayer was rich and in depth for a handheld game.

Can you compare the games on the Wii to a Nintendo DS? No
Can you compare the games on the PS3 to the PSP? No, so stop trying!

Its a great way to take Vegas on the road on long journeys, ... Read More:

I have tried so hard to like this game. I would say that stealth games are probably my favourite genre next to first person shooters and with a while to wait before the next (eagerly awaited) MGS game I thought that I should try the Slinter Cell series and OMG have I been disappointed. After going on the net and reading tons and tons of amazing reviews I am left a little confused. I can't believe how bad this game is and how many people seem to love it. There doesn't seem to be any skill involved in it, the control system is cluncky and in-accurate. The enemys seem to have super human abilities and can even see through walls (yes you read that right). There is a level where I closed myself in a room, no guard witnessed me enter but as he strolled past outside he somehow managed ... Read More:
