Just got this game for my grandsons to play, ages 6 and 4 they both love Lego Starwars on PC and Nintendo DS and Wii. All very excited, it installed ok, but won't play, error message about emulators? I've deleted and disabled everything I can think of, tried installing it on 3 other computers in the house. No joy, two very disappointed little boys and a frustrated granny and I can't send it back. Good to see other punters are as fed up as us. I give it no stars.

Visually the game is great with the best storyline yet. The videos and the cast in them as also excellent. Where the game fails is that it's basically more of the same. While the addition of another race should add to the mix, those units are basically redressed units of factions from earlier C&C games. The missions are also the same.. capture.. destroy.. protect... with little variety regardless of which side you choose to play as. I had high hopes for this game but it leaves me not wanting to go near C&C again and I've played them all.

Felt compelled to write my first Amazon review. I played most of the point and click games out there including the other great titles from this publsher (dark fall etc), however just to warn any avid adventure gamer how dissapointing this game was! No atmosphere and unengaging can't understand WHY its had so many good reviews!

A very good program, which I love using - but there are issues.
Minor fault
Some of the lower ranked 'opponants' on the program make some very strange moves - for example, sacrificing the Queen for no reason at all - when they are winning. This turns the game around immediately.
Major fault ......
The program sometimes calls a stalemate - (thus ending the game) when it is clearly not a stalemate. Quite often, this happens just as I'm about to call an extremely obvious checkmate.
Having said that, I would still recommend this program.

I got this game last year, I saw it on the internet and the more i saw pictures and video's of it the more i wanted it. I got the game and completed most of the missions and then there was a update then i lost all of my progress which meant i needed to restart all over again. It is a fun game though just sailing in some of the worlds best boats. You can change the weather to what ever you want and change the time of day. Make it a nice calm summer's night with a sunset or make it a winters night with huge waves and rain. The graphics are very good in the game but i feel the sounds could improve. Online play is great very fun and i have spent many hours on it sailing and chatting away to people. I really like this game but feel that there is a few things missing to make ... Read More:
As I have read in other reviews, this game will not work in my DVD drive. I am packing quite a hefty PC, with all the latest drivers, and yet this game decides not to run. As I have mentioned, I am not alone in this. I have no idea why it won't run, the DVD drive just won't read it. Useless. It's going in the bin. I can't even be arsed to re-sell it. IF YOU BUY THIS GAME, YOU'RE TAKING A GAMBLE, NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR PC IS.

I've been meaning to review this for a while... But events have overtaken me... Did you know that EA aren't planning a pc version of Tiger W PGA Tour 2009? Wii, nintendo, xbox, playstation, you name it - but no pc version...
Which kinda fits what I was going to say anyway: sure, the game's still got quite a few of the faults from the last version(s), but maybe we need to take a reality check here. When I first got into pc golf games in the mid 90's, there were a bunch of games competing for our attention. I got started on the old PGA486 tour, which then turned into the TW/PGA franchise. Back in the day, there were a bunch of other golf games around (eg the LS Links series), but they all seem to have vanished now. I'd guess that golf sims rank pretty low in sales terms ... Read More:

I'd just like to start by saying that they should have had a story based campaign. I really don't think the whole non-linear thing works at all. There's just no variation in the battles at all. It's just skirmish after skirmish until you reach an enemy stronghold where you'll have to kill someone instead of blowing up their headquarters. You don't "customise" your commander, you just give him some new bits of equipment when you unlock them. Also, the reasons they give for the Space Marines fighting the Imperial Guard are rubbish. Admittedly, they needed to think of something, but they could have, and should have, come up with something better than "they fought them because they wouldn't leave the planet".
Sloppy if you ask me. They don't really have their own unique storylines ... Read More:

This game differs a lot from it's predecessors. As an example, a lot of the game modes from the previous Unreal Tournaments have been simply thrown out which spoils the fun a bit in my opinion. Cutting out game modes like Invasion really dissapointed me when I first ran the game. That being said, the introduction of a different plot made me interested at first. After time though, the fun seemed to wash away as playing the same games on slighty different maps killing the same people over and over gets a little repetitive. Sure. it's great fun for one-offs like if you're bored and looking to kill half an hour but I can't recommend it for constant playing. What happened to Invasion? Sheesh.
