I say not given the choice as I believe this was only one of a couple of 'story-based'shooters on the Dreamcast, the other being Soldier of Fortune,it is graphically similar to that game as well, also the controls are similar,I didn't have a problem with the controls as they are identical to Quake III Arena,
The game, has you, alternating between one of the four members of KISS,or rather their alter-egos,collecting Elder God weapons/armour whilst trying to track down the Nightmare Child.
The levels are graphically nice although there's nothing you won't have seen before, cemeteries, churches, castles etc..they do have a nice 'nightmarish'quality though with odd quirks.
The game would be less remarkable if not for the fact that you ... Read More:

Gigawing is a traditional vertical shoot 'm up. You can choose 4 different planes to play with with all different attacks. After choosing a plane the game starts. Of course the goal is to shoot yourself a way to the level and destroy the boss of each level. The points you get are dependant on the number of crystals you get from planes you shot down. Each crystal rises the multifactor of the score. This adds a great new part to the game as it makes it's important to get as many items as you can. The other important gameplayissue is that you have to use a shield at the right moments to defend yourself against incoming bullets. The game self is looking very well and there isn't really much slowdown. Also the game is very busy and some enemies are ... Read More:
because you can plug the scart into your tv to get a pic and sound on that tv, then you can plug the l/r audio into a hifi or an amp to get more sound from that, and then you can plug the composite video into ANOTHER tv but only get a picture on that. cool, huh? i think i'd better go take my medication now.... ps you could plug the left audio into one amp, and the right audio into ANOTHER hifi, and have some VERY weird audio effects

This is Space Harrier with the fun and pace taken out, the whole thing is devoid of atmosphere. You can shoot about every 3 seconds and despite the title, you cannot actually charge, or move in any direction except side to side about ten feet. Total waste of money.
This game is fantastic, few games keep me interested till the end, and this 1 took some beating in the end, quite a few levels were ingenius. Visually stunning, 1 of the best games the Dreamcast produced. I might be a bit biased, but I did actually play it again, but cudnt complete it again!

I like plasma sword.Only because of the characters and plot etc. The thing is, is that its a fighting game and plot doesn't come first!! Gameplay wise it is quite easy to get used to,with secret characters to obtain, and it seems to be a colorful game with lots of eye-candy,but still doesn't manage to hide its dated 3-D polygon graphics.its a 3-D game, which is slightly different from other capcom games, such as marvel vs capcom, street fighter alpha, and Jojos bizzare adventure. If u generaly enjoy capcom fighting games, you should like this.

The review in Dreamcast monthly gave this 39%,which I thought was a bit off,I bought it anyway, yes it's slow, yes the graphics are nowhere near as good as Grandia and Skies of Arcadia but it draws you in with its (uncomplicated)plot and the characters you play are a likeable lot and you really want to figure out how to 'help' them home.
Combat has a few flaws,it's easy to end up attacking an empty square, but the strategy element is quite good as is finding new equipment, capturing new creatures etc.On the whole, well worth considering but not over Grandia,Arcadia or Phantasy Star.

Well, this game might just be able to get you started. Then again, it's kind of hard to rock when you're frustrated enough to put your foot through the TV. It's not the TV's fault, though. No, it's the fact that to beat the game, you're forced into two-on-one matches, with you being the target. The last time I checked, going against two guys with bazookas and machine guns while you have a sword is not a fair fight. I swear, certain levels aggravated me so much that I made a drill sargeant look like Steve from Blue's Clues. I liked the Chaosmatrix mode, though. It is very reminiscent of the Metal Gear Solid V.R. Missions. Still, it's a bit empty. Even though I became extremely frustrated, something about the game keeps bringing me back. I can't ... Read More:
