Rez was an obscure game when it was released but now has a cult following and commands a high price, with good reason!
Rez is an "on-rails" shooter like no other. It has a distinct visual style and throbbing soundtrack that provides a totally immersive experience. Play it with the volume high and the lights low and get sucked into a freaky "Tron-like" environment where your lasers and explosions contribute to the music.
No screenshots or reviews can accurately portray the genius of this game. This is up their with Tempest 2000 as one of the all-time greatest cyber-wierd videogaming experiences.

This game is the nuts, only bettered by SF3: Third Strike. If you can't find that on EBAY, this is the next best thing (the DC versions are arcade perfect). This the pinnacle of 2D fighting games, and one of the purest examples of computer-gaming excellence ever created. There are still massive tornaments held on this game all over the world and its about 10 years old.

After success in the arcades and Sega's Saturn console, the Fighting Vipers, Sega's street-wise alternative to Virtua Fighter, decide to let rip their armour shattering action onto the Dreamcast. Unfortunately all doesn't go to plan, and the final result with this sequel isn't pleasing. Grraphically it's average, looking better than before but still feeling like a Saturn game. The action moves at a sedate pace, and the controls do the game no favours. It's fast paced playability, and inclusion of some really cool characters will no doubt interest veterens of the Saturn original, but compared with Virtua Fighter 3, Dead or Alive 2 and Soul Calibur, the DC has far better to offer than this dissapointing scrapper.
This came last in a Dreamcast Monthly poll some years ago, well bottom last with Mortal Kombat Gold,I didn't have the game at the time but gave it a go(I had it for Xmas) when ODM gave it 7/10 and some magazines (In Japan) gave it more than Soul Calibur.
Granted,on first loading it up it looks like an ST or Amiga game, possibly even closer to it's PSX original, but wait I've been playing it for 2 hours or more even forsaking Quake III and Phantasy Star Online!
Those not in the know,it's a one-on-one beat-em-up played out in a big cube, your character is free to move in this 'cage'flying about like a Saturday morning cartoon, yes it's similar to the DragonBall Z games,
The graphics are best described as basic, looking like an old PSX game, bit sharper though, but ... Read More:

If like me you have tried many times to learn to type only to be defeated by the shear boredom then this is the game for you. This does not feel like a tutorial nor is it like any learning you have ever tried before, this is addictive game play that has an educational after effect. After three sessions of playing this game , I was able to master the whole keyboard in a touchy feely (touch type) kind of way. The game teaches the basics beginning with finger placement on the home keys, yawn ?? There are no yawns here, from the very beginning your heart will be pounding as you use "asdf" to kill the approaching zombies or to stop an attacking car, with in minutes you will have to keys/finger positions engrained forever in your memory.

starlancer is one of those rare games that you know is going to be briliant from the moment you put the disk in. i didnt no much about starlancer until i saw some gorgeous screen shots and pre orderd it. i wasnt dissapointed when it arrived, the intro is absolutely awsome (even tho it was shortend for budget reasons) and the gameplay is superb. there is a nice selection of ships too unlock and fly and a large ammount of missions to play through. although some missions do get a little repetative, when your capital ship is constantly torpedoed at the end of a 20 minute mission for example, and you have to drop what your doing to protect it or have to restart the mission as she goes up in flames! this alone isnt enough to detract from the sheer fun that is starlancer tho. the ... This is one of those games that is incredibly easy to get the hang of and play but incredibly hard to put down.
The idea is to match a certain color bubble to another of the same color. When matched they disappear and eventually you can clear the board. You score points by making multiple chains and clearing the board in as little time as possible.
The graphics are what you would expect for a game about colored balls and the sound serves its purpose.
Great fun, horribly addictive. Definitely one for your collection if you like simple puzzle games.
