Red Dog: Superior Firepower (Dreamcast)

from: Argonaut Software

Red Dog; DC.
Engrossing,colourful & pacey-You are in control-
of a nifty armoured dune buggy type vehicle, which carries
various armaments etc-happily blasting deviant aliens
into pixalating smog, you trundle along to battle
with giant articulated scorpions et-al.
You can also put the vehicle to the test, along difficult
courses strewn with the usual detritus, and pull a few
stunts along the way-while not brilliant-
this Red Dog is a an ok game.Well worth a trundle.

This game is great. The multiplayer feature is excellent and whoever thought up the idea to create a game from toy cars is a genius. The game runs very smoothly and the attention to detail is right up there with the best of them. The only thing I have on this game is the toy car noise, but oh well, if it was a real radio controlled car, that's what you would be hearing, so I guess they are just trying to keep it as real as possible. If you are like me, and into games that are much more fun then serious, then this one is a keeper.

Conflict Zone: Modern War Strategy (Dreamcast)

Childrens Toy Shop > Video Games > Dreamcast
from: Ubisoft

April 26, 2002
Conflict Zone takes place in the year 2011 and the world is at constant conflict. There are two main groups battling each other: the International Corps For Peace and the GHOST organization. Battles takes place around the world but there's quite a twist on the whole political aspects of war; the ICP must "keep the peace" fighting a limited war that restricts them from truly escalating the war. ICP must rescues refugees, liberate cities, and perform other warm and fuzzy tasks because the media is keeping constant watch of the war efforts. Failure to keep up the ICP standards of justice (like shooting innocents, bombing the wrong target, etc.), will lead you to disfavor with the media and that impacts your resources (more on that later). ... I think this is worst game on Dreamcast

The graphics are detailed but the camera is poor. Its stops behind things and changes angle when you don't need it.

There are a few leaps of faith and the controls are unresponsive. The game is too slow to be any fun and the choose your own checkpoints is stupid as you forget.

If you want a platform game for the kids, 102 Dalmations or Rayman 2 will do nicely

Hidden and dangerous is one of the most explosive 3rd person action games for the dreamcast that I have ever played on, the graphics and the sound are explosive, one of the best and for those of you who like rambo, then be prepared to be disappionted as you can't just run round corners and waste people, you have to sneak, run, jump and climb your way through this game, goldeneye and perfect dark lovers be prepared to get a shock!

Incoming (Dreamcast)

this game starts off okay, with a good variation from ground combat and air combat, with the atlantic sea mission being one of my favorites. but after a while the game becomes more tedious, as each mission is essentialy the same. and the last few missions of just blow up every installation that you worked to protect in the earlier missions.....well there crap to be honest. the multiplayer mode is ok, but this game is average at best. released at the dreamcasts launch in the EU, it shows its age now. if you buy this-bare in mind its an average game, so try and gain a low price for it.

This has to be one of the maddest games i've ever played, to be frank i'm suprised it got a Uk release! The first thing I noticed about the game is the brightness of the in-game colours and the sheer Japaneseness of the game, i'm sure some of the jokes in the game are hilarious in their own country but over here in translation they seem bonkers. But for me this adds a certain charm and uniqueness to the game. The premise of the game is that you control a mech flying around various space stations and basically you've got to blow everything up but as with many Treasure games the games simple premise belies its hidden depth. You can switch between two mechs and consequently two characers at any time during gameplay, these two characters have distinctly ... Read More:

If you've ever played any of the FIFA or ISS games, the control setup for this game will feel familiar and intuitive. This is a game which is really easy to get into, yet it has a very deep system. And unlike the aforementioned games, it has no sure way of scoring goals. There are a variety of ways to slam the ball into the net and all of them are equally satisfying.

If you've got a group of friends willing to sacrifice an evening for a tournament, I really recommend this game. Everyone I know who has played it enjoyed it thoroughly. The graphics are easily the most impressive ever seen in a footie game. Screenshots won't do it justice, the animations are fantastic and the pitch looks incredible.

There are a few minor problems, ... Read More:
