All said and done the actual format of the THPS games can never change that much, they are limited to the confines of a skateboard afterall, However, Activision (the team behind the games) always manages to give each competitor in the series a fresh outlook. This might be new tricks, hidden unlockables, more levels, skaters etc. This time around they have really gone all out on changing the format.
Gone is the standard level to level progression you have come to expect so now enters the all new "story mode". Story mode had been billed by Activision as the biggest breakthrough since GTA went 3D, mmmmmm maybe not, it does manage to boot the old format up the behind enough for things to change enough to make it fresh though and for ... Slash slash stab stab kill kill!Thats what LOTR the return of the king is all about. "Mindless violence!" some people would say but I would disagree. Violence? yes (but come off it they are filthy little orcs!) but mindless? No. Here's why.
Graphics: Fine! Life-like charactors but no blood or innards. Cut-scenes are slightly unrealistic and glitchy at times, but satisfactory.
Gameplay: Brilliant! Great real-time battle sequence with excellent terrain and lots of enemies. Neat bosses that aren't too hard and good projectiles that really add to the game. There are also lots of really cool special moves and ugrades which you earn by doing levels. You can also level-up charactors all the way to level 20 and there are ... Read More:
This game is actually pretty slick. Its one of those things you can appreciate more the second time around. Sonic Heroes introduces a whole new battle system, switching between; power formation, speed formation, and flight formation.
Lifespan: about 20+ hours gameplay: 9/10 sound track: 9/10 multi player mode: 8/10 overall: 7/10
I think that this i quite a good game and i would recomend it to any sonic fan.

Prince of Persia Warrior Within is one of the best games i have ever played! and it deserves it space on my shelf next to 'The sands of time and TLoZ the wind waker. The game is set eight years or so after the sands of time, and follows the prince as he invades the island and fortress of time, in a bid to kill the Empress of time and stop the sands from ever being created. If he succeeds then the 'Dahaka' the incarnation of fate (a very nasty incarnation) will stop pursuing the Prince, and stop its efforts to consume him. While many have criticised this game, i have to disagree with them. Yes it does have a very heavy metal soundtrack, but it only ads to the action, sets the scene and is hardly noticable if your focusing on jumping form ledge ... Read More:

And you thought that nostalgia was dead? Here's a good collection of 80's video games, which nowadays rather quaintly, people went to a video arcade to play, simple blocky graphics, and used only one joystick and possibly, two buttons a most!
Pac Man, Mrs Pac Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Rally X, Boscoian, Pole Position 1 & 2, Xevious, Dragon Sprit, Bosconian, Roling Thunder, Mappy, and Sky Kid.
Happy memories all round for those who are old enough...
Good:
- Of course, graphically these 20 - 25 years old games don't compare to games today, but they made up for it then and now with cracking gameplay. With 14 games, everyone should find something fun in this collection. And anything with the ... Read More:

So the lastest Sims game makes its inevitable move of the PC on to the consoles, and here we have the gamecube version. And unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, the sims 2, like the first sim game; is a very fun and refeshing different game that has you guiding a virtual person's life (sim) good or bad thoughout their life.
Good:
- The classic, different and addictive 'The Sims' gameplay is all here, and you'll be busy putting in the gameplay hours to see how successful and happy you can get your sim, or how much money and possesions you can get, or just making your sim's life a misery!
- The humour and the good graphics / control system is here as well, its a hoot to play and it feels and looks good to. ... Read More:

As a lifelong Sonic fan, who never played on the 3d games until fairly recently, my mind was blown apart by the fact that a popular character was getting his own game with added firepower, something I always wondered about for years, whether that would work in a Sonic game.
Needless to say it's not perfect but it works pretty well when you get the hang of it, much like the entire series in general. You can run and shoot, even though it's not accurate, but its great fun to be speeding towards obstacles and rather than trying to avoid them you blast through them! The more accurate way of shooting when confronted with enemies you have to destroy is to jump and start firing, Shadow will hover in mid-air whilst you fire your shots which aim at a target ... The new Tiger woods game is a good game. It has good graphics, good gameplay, good lastability, and a great range of things to buy. However, for all you keen golfers and fans of the PGA tour series will not be as impressed as the game is very similar to last years game. The only real difference is the Legends Tour, which is good, but is very similar to the World Tour of last years game. In conclusion, this is a good game, and I would encourage anyone who likes golf to buy the game.
Graphics = 10 Lastibility = 9 Options = 9 Value for money = 9

I'm a long time fan of Spidey and although this is probably the best Spidey game ever to be released it is totally rubbish. it does not really follow the film unlike what the title suggests; people say the graphics are mind-boggling but aren't most Gamecube titles? How can people say this game has the best graphics when we've got games like Rogue Leader and the soon-to-be-released Starfox Adventures?! OK, so graphics aren't everything so what about gameplay? well its either impossibly hard or so easy you don't even need a controller. The levels are repetitive too: beat up an enemy, beat up another, and another and another, oooo! 30 seconds of web slinging and guess what! another enemy to beat up only this tie its a super-duper spiderman seeking robot full of handy kitchen gadgets ... As with many others here, i am a huge Wipeout fan, espescially Wip3out. Not owning a PS2, i figured i would go for the next best thing with Extreme G 2.
But Wip3out this game isnt. The worst thing about this game is that it is just far too hard. The learning curve from the start is much too steep. The extent of the game is really the lowest class, three tracks and one weapon for all but the most devoted. Wip3out is challenging, it requires practice and time - Extreme G is just too hard.
The graphics are nice but the design is, in my opinion, a little corny. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but this looks like a Wip3out rip off.
Overall, unless you have alot of spare time and truly legendary patience, i wouldnt recommend this. It is very difficult ... Read More:
