Day of Reckoning 2 is not a bad game in its own right, but having played it to death in the last couple of weeks it does not compare much to the great N64 game No Mercy. The story mode angles are very good, it is like watching Raw or Smackdown, you don't know what is going to happen next. No voiceovers, but the text used has all the relevant catchphrases etc. There is a varied level of difficulty, some matches were very easy and others very hard. One match against the undertaker took six of my finishing moves on him to get the pin! Also you practically have to win every match in story mode, give or take one or two, which can be very frustrating sometimes. Alright, let's get one thing straight. Yes, the storyline is stupid, and yes there are far more realistic skillful games out there - but frankly if you just want to crash cars into pedestrians and cause general chaos in a massive city, then this is the game for you.

Mostly I just ignore the actual missions, the standard of gameplay in them isn't really worth my time, but just messing about in the streets is so much fun on it's own that you won't really worry about that.

If you're looking for a game to play locked in your room for five days solid until you develop premature arthritis, there are plenty of other games you should go and get. But if you just need to waste a couple hours smashing things up and getting rid of that ... Read More:

My brother bought me this and it is one of the best presants I have had.Rodney has two weapons for most of the game of the which I can choose which one to use and I like making choices,also it shows parts of the film during play.

Yea yea, a good game overall but it is so short. really fun with all the gore and special weapon effects but i completed it all in under a day and not even solid playing so cool but short.

this is one of the best shoot'em ups ever.if you have timesplitters 2,you will not be disappointed.the story mode has so much more depth and less cartoony levels and better graphics.there are now 150 characters to play(basically all have to be unlocked),new arcade levels including mexican mission,training ground and chinese restaraunt from the TPS2.you can even drive vehicles!new weapons and characters(including old ones like monkey,snowman,gingerbreadman etc.)

the only bad things I can think of are that there is only 1 type of timesplitter,and the mapmaker.
the mapmaker is still pretty good,but you can onluy play with 8 bots on the maps you have made!
to summarise,BUY THIS GAME IF YOU LIKE SHOOT'EM UPS!

The Simpsons - Hit & Run (Players Choice Game Cube)

The game in itself is OK. Basic controls and fairly simply, if slightly twisted storyline, and featuring all of the fun you would regularly find in all of the Simpsons games. I personally found the game, however, to become rather boring after a while, and though the action is fun, it can become very samey after a while. It also may be fairly easy for some gamers, especially those used to racing games.

All in all a fun game to borrow off of a mate - don't buy it yourself unless you don't get bored easily

Super Monkey Ball 2

What people need to keep in mind is that Super Monkey Ball is a bit of light-hearted fun. Saying that, some stages can keep you rigid with tension and then overcome by the euphoria of finally completing them. I have SMB1, but it remains very much unplayed in contrast to its sequel. If the cut scenes annoy you in story mode, then you can just skip them. In addition, the excellent party games have brightened many rainy afternoons. Superb level design coupled with tight controls; in my eyes, this game does no wrong.

GBA to GameCube Link Lead

GBA-GC connectivity has hardly been Nintendo's most popular idea, but finding games that use it well is well worth it.
Some games like Zelda Wind Waker/Four Swords and Splinter Cell use it without you needing a GBA game or some use it only when you connect the GBA game to the GC game.
These usually are the ones that aren't as good, because it usually just unlocks bonus content (although sometimes good-Metroid Prime connected to Metroid Fusion gives you the NES Metroid on the GC game). It's usually not worth buying the GBA game for the extra content unless you are a big fan (Pokemon is a bit of an exception though- the GBA games really do make Colosseum better as you can play multiplayer).

Well this game snuck up on me big time, I didn't even know Free Radical were working on another non-timesplitters game. So it came as a pleasant surprise when I stumbled across it a few weeks ago and put my order in straight away.

So what we get for our money? Well what we have here is a third person view adventure game which a damn good plot and excellent graphics.

Although, first impressions weren't good it has to be said. Sure it looked impressive and you could tell this was done by the people behind timesplitters; same style but greatly improved detail and quality to the models and levels.
