i bought this game with high expectations, but my hopes were dashed considerably when i inserted it in to my gameboy!! the levels on this game have no real structure which makes it hard to know what is going on and the fact you can just swing about with the web that he makes allday doesent really appeal to me.although the graphics are nice, the gameplay is slightly confusing and i frankly wish i had never bothered!!

This game is really cool,i looked for a new game for my GBC and i had seen the movie Shrek,so i bought the game.The game is colorfull,and a real platformer,its just as good as the movie.Buy it!

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC)

You wouldn't think that a gameboy game could be so scary, and while Alone in the Dark is not as scary as the playstation version it still provides a few scares. The graphics are exceptional for a gameboy. It shows that despite the upcoming release of the Game Boy Advance the gameboy still has some life left in it.

Although the age rating was 3+ it was slightly too hard I think for a 3 year old on their own. My granddaughter needed quite a bit of help but between us we managed to complete the game twice.
She has a very good memory and thought on the second time around would know where all Dougs Power Ups were unfortunately for her they were not in the same places which made the game a lot more interesting for older players.
The phone boxes worked under exactly the same principle and you were in contact with different people all the time. Unfortunately my granddaughter cannot read as yet but am sure that 5+ would have great fun with it especially if they had a great memory but still might need some adult guidance.
