I probably made the mistake of picking this game up and hoping for a miniature version of the Platstation Gran Turismo. But after getting over the initial disappointment that all of the cars are Japanese rather than being from all over the world I soon got into the fun of it all.

It looks good firstly. Although the cars can be slightly hard to distinguish.

You start with abut 20 cars to choose from and as you pass landmarks of winning races and the like you unlock more cars and upgrades. The upgrades you unlock you can use on any other car should you choose to use that car.

At each level you have to pass three tests to get your 'licence'. And then off you go. The races themselves are fun enough, but there's ... Read More:

I'd been an avid gamer for 20 years or so before I went near an RPG. It was the GBA that got me hooked on the genre. This was the 2nd RPG I played and it was a blast!
It's true that it hasn't aged brilliantly, there are some slow patches, the random battles are far to frequent and the ending leaves you feeling a bit under whelmed. But.... it's just so much fun.
The story and game world are full of imagination and charming little touches. I conceed that's most of what this game has to offer is pretty standard among RPGs, but for my money Breath of Fire does it all with a wit and beauty that make it feel like a unique gaming expirience and one worth repeating.

If you don't mind the old graphics & sound but love a good meaty role playing game then give this a whirl ! 3 good games with bags of gameplay
& great longevity . It's very easy to get in to & is neither Stat heavy
or overly complicated or overly 'cutesy' :D
