This is a very strange game but it's also incredibly addictive. Having this with you all the time is just the best way of killing time ever invented, as you don't need to spend very long on a particular battle (they usually have timelimits of 30 to 90 seconds) but you can spend hours at a time upgrading your units and wandering around the landscape finding new armies to beat.
You upgrade your units a bit like Pokemon, they evolve into their new forms, but unlike Pokemon experience isn't enough, they only evolve when they're fed the right Emblem. You create Emblems by combining items you find in the world (such as jewels, leaves, metals etc) and experimenting and finding the right recipes to make your units evolve is one of the key ... after playing the other FPS games on the n-gage, i was wary about whetehr or not 'Ashen' would hold up, and to be honest i was surprised. I spent and entire day t my friends house ignoring him and staring at my n-gage simply because i gto my self hooked on this game. It may not be graphically superior, and, honestly, the game play is just a basic FPS game, but somehow 'Ashen' caught my interest and just mde me want to keep pushing it, sure you can only save at the end of the level, but that jsut made it more satisfying when you finished each of them. I personally would say, if you own an n-gage you should at least give this game a try.
now....first of all we should make one thing clear, apart from the fact you can "bust out" this is nothing like the console/pc versions of the game. One of the big differences are you now control your sim directly, instead of clicking on an object and watching your sim walk to it.Wich leads me to one of the games flaws,as in all other versions you can visit other destinations but running around the town becomes very annoying, of course you can always take your scooter, but be warned it handles like a sofa.another change for the n-gage version is you now act out the tasks at your sims place of work for instance your first job involves mowing lawns, and is suprisingly fun.Overall this isnt a bad game,but.....it isnt a great game either,if you liked the ... I got this game with my Nokia N-Gage QD, and what can I say... Intense handheld graphics, awsome sounds... online play. Tom Clancy is sure to be the best mastermind behind games... and his books... not that it is of super downfalls, the amount of things you can do only just fits every button on the keypad. The tactical moves and possabilitys are endless, the storyline isnt as long as the xbox or ps2... but what can u expect from a phone? complete it once... then complete it in a different way, online, this game is second to none... Splinter Cell is way to stealthy and you cant get stuck in as much as you can on this FPS... complete with the wireless headphones, this will be your best N-Gage purchase... untill the next Morrowind title... Peace out... ... Read More:

This game is quite possibly the best game for the n gage it has amazing graphics and sound effects and is as good as the ps one versions of colin mcrae. You will be amazed at how they have managed to cram every aspect of the console game onto the n gage! This game and Fifa and may be ashen and Rayman and you are set for all your portable gaming needs. Who needs a bulky PSP for 100 less you could own the ultimate handheld device.
I'd read a few previews of this game, and i ahve to say i was not dissapointed with the final result. 'Xanadu next' has to be one of the more enjoyable titles i've played on the n-gage, perhaps my favourite so far, it looks good (considering this is a phone) and the sound that came off my QD was impressive to say the least. The only reason this game does not recieve a full 5 stars is the lack of saving, so if you die you generally lose a fair bit of progress. Other than this however, i feel we have an extremely solid RPG for the n-gage, which, in my opinion, beats 'Requiem of Hell' hands down!
