I was really pleased with my purchase of Blaze's "System Link Advance+".
I must say, I was a bit cynical about the idea of purchasing a third party peripheral at such a low price, thinking it wouldn't be as effective as an Official Nintendo Link cable but now I'm absolutely glad I got it.
The cable works like a dream between all of my games. Not to mention all of my older Game Boy consoles (GBAdvance, GBColour, GBPocket & GB) which is impressive considering not even the official cables are compatible with all Game Boy console formats (I've found anyway). Its connectivity also allows upto 4 players to connect their consoles together.
Putting it simply this is a quality, reliable product ... Read More:

If your looking for the most compatible link cable with your Game Boy Advance system then this is it. The real question is whether it's worth it...
The Official Game Boy Advance Link cable is not to be confused with other Game Boy link cable formats as it is not cross compatible with earlier versions of Game Boy I'm afraid, meaning you'll need to purchase seperate cables for different formats.
Probably more shockingly is the fact that it is NOT compatible with all applicable GBA games, which is ridiculous considering this is mean't to be your official choice.
cartridges can erode with time,i urge you to buy a pack of these to preserve your cartridges, they come in a pack of 6 and in a range of different colours.they will also accept ds cartridges in the middle but id recomend you just use the case your ds games come in.they only accept either 1 ds game or 1 gba game not both, they have a feature where they click together but its realy crappy and they break away too easily, but the most impressive part of these cartridges is all the colours even the dark ones you can clearly see what game is inside.i realy recomend these cartridges they are a worthy investment, just think how much your gba games cost and how much these cases which will protect them from dirt and dust cost.

This is a fashion accessory and a boredom buster crammed into one! Its a cute pink colour and fits straight into your bag. But the best bit is the games! The screen is clear and the fun is endless!!! BUY IT...or regret it!!!

I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine.
Let's get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn't as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one!
So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. Also this was the last portabl console to have the traditional Gameboy style layout of control buttons under the screen (instead ... Read More:

i'm being generous with the stars - let me quickly get the good things out of the way - because there aren't many
very small, looks cool, nice screen and the d pad and a/b buttons are actually decent, sounds okay
now for the negatives - shoulder buttons are a joke, the screen is smaller than some mobile phones and not great for gaming - although it is bright and sharp
a great technical exercise but even with games not using the shoulder buttons - it is awkward and it is a stocking filler and a toy for kids rather than something you can play for longer than 10 minutes
just get some decent games on your phone or pull out your DS lite - this is like a keychain toy, with all the disadvantages

If you own a gba and a game cube then this is for you. (Especially if you have Pokemon). Note: This does sometimes fall out of the gba slot which can be annoying.
