Game Boy Advance SP: Arctic Blue

I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine.

Let's get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn't as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one!

So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. The GBA was the handheld console I was eagerly awaiting and it is a good console - as long as you have enough light around you for the great graphics. The ocnsole is good but you can't use it at night :(. Therefore I suggest you pay a bit more for the SP which features a backlight. Other than that good console, good games.

Killer 3D Pool (GBA)

I've played this and it's very boring. If you just want to have a game of Pool then this is for you. If you want to actually take part in a competition don't bother cos all you do is play one of the opponents already supplied and if you beat them you unlock another opponent and that is basically it. The game has nothing to offer at all and the 'thinking' that the opponents do is very irritating while you wait for them to make their move. You could do so much more with the GBA's capability's and with this game it uses nothing to it's advantage.

When I bought My Game Boy Advance, I knew what I needed before I even took it out of the box...Light!! While having a nice desk lamp or even Mr. Sun to light up the Gaming experience, come Night Time, especially on the go, light can be fairly sparse, that's where this handy little accessory proudly raises its head in triumph!! Not only does it magnify the already nicely sized Game Boy Advance Screen, It lights It Up, to allow you to carry those gaming sessions long into the night (and have nice sore thumbs), with a handy little built in lamp!! An excellent purchase, for all those who like some night time gaming!! Highly Recommended!!!

Even though the gameboy advance is the best handheld to be created, I rarely use it outside of the 4 walls of my room. So this device was perfect for me as it put an end to the fortune i was spending every week on batteries from midnight sessions of Mario Kart Super Circuit!!! Awesome!!! It simply pluges into the rear end of the gameboy advance's battery appartment and the other end into the mains supply. Now there's no excuse for not completing Mario!!!!

I got this hoping it would be all I need to take my SP anywhere. However, the SP only just fits in the case (and I mean ONLY JUST) and the link cable only works between two GBAs - there's no adaptor for connecting with the old game boy. The headphones are excellent and make the sound better.
I would recommend you buy a pair of headphones separately (I think they're about £2-£3) and then get the official carrying case which holds games, the SP and headphones.
