I got this game for my birthday and I am obsessed with it! I am not a great singer, but I'm always eager to see how many points what 'level' I get. Especially when you are playing against another person, its great fun. The Rap Meter is a great idea (although quite difficult) and on some of the songs (where there are two different people/groups singing in the same song) you can choose which one you want to sing as. There is also a Duet option, and you can playback the song after you are done which is 'interesting' to hear (especially when you aren't very good!). There is a good range of songs to choose from, which most people should know. A big thumbs up! =)

to be honest i cant say much because when i feel like playing a spacey shooter i always turn to star wars battle front 1 as i think this second in the franchise cant even touch the first.. Tom

I'm a big fan of the Singstar series, and was really looking forward to a Soul release of some kind. I understand that this RnB disc is the closest we'll get to it, and if so, it's fairly disappointing. Surely some more Motown / Stax funky original RnB could have been licensed? Even the more modern tracks are not that well known, and nothing like as much fun to play as the recent excellent Rock Ballads disc.

Sinatra / Deano / Andy Williams 'Swingstar' anyone?

i liked this game when i played it about a year and a half ago but it didnt work on my ps2 so refunded but that 1 didnt work either, so just didnt bother after that.

In a nutshell this is a clone of Test Drive Unlimited. A free roaming racing game in search of races to take part in. The purpose is to challenge racers on a black list until you are no.1.

Whats new is racing in the daylight and cops. Whats bad are the dodgy graphics, irritating soundtrax and the cops. Its bad enough driving about aimlessly in search of races to take part in but when the cops spot you, you have to outrun them. This becomes frustrating when after ten minutes you then have to search for the 'events' again. You spend more time searching and shaking off the cops than actual racing. This makes the game tedious.

The attempt at a sort of storyline is actually quite good. It's a pity that the game hinders your progress ... Read More:

Believe it or not, there was a time when full free-to-roam 3D worlds were just a gamer's pipedream. Oh sure, we'd had some pretty impressive action adventures in three dimensions - Metal Gear Solid and Soul Reaver come to mind - and even some truly memorable settings, from Hyrule in Nintendo's magnum opus Ocarina of Time to the then standard-setting streets of Sega's Shenmue... but these were all fantastical, story driven fictions, not the go-anywhere, do-anything sandbox offering many had craved.

Lara is back in tomb raider underworld so far from what i have seen in the playstation magazines it looks fantastic i think it will be one of the best tomb raider games ever but we have 2 wait and see.

Although it has fewer songs than other singstars, it's a firm favourite with ladies of a certain age around here. We are 20-50 years. A few glasses of wine and we can be anyone featured on the track list. Should have been called "Anthems for ladies who dont get out so much but still need fun." Tracks do seem more female orientated but thats not a bad thing. Who said PS2 was for boys anyway?

Like another reviewer that can't get this to run on their quad core machine, I cannot get this to run on a Nvidia SLI based machine.
I have spent hours going through the EA helpdesks suggestions to get this to work, but basically it hasn't been tested on SLI and just crashes on start-up.

Bottom line, if you have a high spec machine that Rugby 08 should look wonderful on, you won't even see the splash screen.
