This is the benchmark small scale war simulator, nothing has bettered it yet. Others in the Close Combat series are good but all have missed for one reason or another. A Bridge Too Far captures the feeling of desperation in the Allies as they race to secure the bridges against overwhelming fire power. They are well trained but heavily outnumbered by the Germans and their sophisticated equipment (German tanks are well represented and easily out gun Allied armour).
This is an old game but 6 years on I still play it regularly, each time wondering if I can overcome the enemy in slightly different ways. Obviously it has its faults and is very dated in many respects but no game I have ever played has come this close to playability, lastability ... Read More:

This is a fantastic game for children of all ages. My little girl is 5 years old and gets heaps of enjoment from this game. It keeps her quite for hours, and on those days when the kids are being a nightmare what better that to put a game on they enjoy! It is a great way to introduce your kids to the pc!!!! It helps them to get great mouse control!
Bought this for my new MacBook as I own "The Sims Complete Collection" for my PC at home, and just wanted a cut down version for on the move. Unfortunately, the package is not compatible with new 'widescreen' or Intel based Mac's, as their appears to be a "DrawSocket" error, which Mac OS put's down to the program having '16bit resolution' mumbo jumbo... Cut long story short, it requires a screen resolution of either 800 x 600, or 1024 x 768, which both are NOT widescreen modes.
This is incredibly disappointing, considering this was released in 2005 and the iMac's were well underway with widescreen resolutions. The port of the game by 'Aspyr' is not bad; a little rough round the edges with regards to the Read Me and Manuals, but from what I saw until ... Read More:
