By most people's standards, the Golden Compass on Wii would be described as a horrible game, but personally I think it's not all that bad. (Granted, i got it for a budget price...)

Firstly, the graphics are awful, like a blurry 1st-generation ps2 game, and there is absoloutely no excuse for that. The environments are acceptable at some points in the game, but it is the expressionless and blocky characters which make the game frustrating to look at.

The gameplay won't win any awards either, since most of the time, you are just fetching items, jumping on platforms, or playing shallow 2d minigames. Thankfully, the wii's motion sensing controls do make some of the gameplay bareable, and pumelling through hordes of witches ... Read More:

An SD card is a must have for your wii (so you can download more games ect), but allthough this is a good price, there are some cheaper ones out there.

this game isn't nearly as good as mario kart and is fairly poor even when you don't have mario to compare it to.
supose it might be ok for small children as it is easy to use and doesn't need much skill.

I was so looking forward to this and anticipated my friends and I whipping away to the race post. Not so. Could not add a second remote, never found the option to do so. The story mode is boring beyond belief. even my nieces and nephews found this too boring. Yes it's a cheap game but don't let that entice you.

My Horse and Me (Wii)

As an adult gamer, I think this game was really fun and interesting.

It takes a while to get used to controlling the horse, but once you get the hang of holding the nunchuk and controller as you would the reins, it's really easy to control the horse.

Only bad point is that once you've mastered the controls there's not a great deal of challenge within the game as effectively all you're doing is steering the horse and getting the approach right, you don't control take off, over the jumps, which is a real shame.

I completed it within two days on the camera view because it was fun and addictive and am now trying to complete on the hat view, which is much more difficult, you just don't see those tight corners until it's too ... Read More:

This is a good solid game. The controls (which are configurable) are quite arcade like and not exactly an accurate simulation of flying. Nevertheless, the game is enjoyable. As with any American produced WWII game the dialogue and scene setting are very Americanised, and do lack a little in accuracy. I'm not sure how many American pilots were flying for the RAF in 1939, but I doubt it was very many.

Back to the game, the range of aircraft is good, there is not always much to choose between them in terms of aerodynamics and speed, but you certainly feel the difference in firepower. If anyone has played the excellent Secret Weapons over Normandy on the Xbox or PS2, they will see certain similarities here. Secret Weapons was superior in the storyline and dialogue, ... Read More:

I bought one in pink (for me) and one in blue (for the other half). I love them, this is the best deal so far. It is an official licensed product, and unlike the other manufacturer licenced to sell these for the Wii, this one includes a cover for the nunchuck too - which is what swayed my decision.

It fits very well. No gaps, no bigger / smaller than required holes. Helps the remotes to stay in your hand, and made from a very soft and pliable silicone.

it's great. Get one!

I believe this is one of the best wireless nunchuks on the market. My friend brought the Nyko version which only lasted a couple days before he had to return it.

Great quality product which comes with manufacturer warrantly.

I know its cheap but it does not do what it is supposed to do.
The straps dont have a lock to stop flying out of hand, the controllers are too small to fit sluggly into the add on bits and the add on grips cover the sensor.

I have to disagree with most of the other reviews on this product. I have not yet encounted any problems with parts flying off! Maybe the other reviews were merely being too agressive with product?
I received this product for Christmas (along with my wii) and have been very pleased with it. It makes 'game play' a lot more interesting and realistic.
The only bad points I have are:
1. you have to remove the attachment to select what you want to play and then attach it again when you want to play (this has not yet been a major problem for me)
2. I don't really need the extra strap and crystal case but it's good to have them anyway as spares!

To conclude, this is a product worth buying and will add a lot more fun to your wii!
