This was disappointing the controls weren't this best and at times seem to have a mind of there own. Initially the game moved into game play too quickly for the younger players to grasp the controls, causing it to be shelved for a few weeks. Not a fan of games of films and this one proves my point. Overall unimpressed. Much better Wii games on the market

I'll keep this short and simple.
This game is poor, a pathetic attempt at bringing the gameshow to the wii platform. You could get the same performance out of the DVD version, and DVD games have the same feel - slow, predictable, repetitive and dull. This Wii rendition is simply a DVD game in a Wii platform, badly produced and I would seriously deter anybody from purchasing this title - perhaps you should look at other family quiz games such as Kabooki or Smarty Pants.

I had Spyro on PS1 many years ago, and I've actually found Eternal Night much more playable. Am only about 3 hours in so far, but the game takes you through the various controls in a very simple way as you begin to play, so they're not hard to pick up.
As the other reviewers have said, it is much darker than the PS1 Spyro game (well, so far at least), and is also different in terms of the game play. Eternal Night doesn't have the annoying repetitiveness of the PS1 game where you were constantly hunting for that last jewel; instead it builds on the problem solving and bashing enemies parts, and jewels are needed for other things like energy and special abilities.

By no way the best racing game in the world for serious gamers, but played it with the kids for hours over Christmas, it's a good low cost game and a just fun!
STORYLINE- 6/10
I can't really give it a lower score as I only got 1/4 through the game and decided to give up as it was extremely boring.
CONTROLS- 1/10
When buying this game I thought I would be able to swing the remote around and kill people but you have to press buttons. No movements involved at all.
GAME OVERALL- 2/10
Very boring and they could have made it a lot better.

This cable is hard-wired to force widescreen on the TV's SCART (hooray!), which automatically makes it better than the official cable (unless you've got a 4:3 TV, in which case you probably won't care about RGB anyway).
I've seen quite a few reviews mention that you can't use any RGB cable with a SCART auto-switcher because the Wii permanently outputs an 'on' signal. Turns out that this is due to the 'Autoconnect 24' feature being enabled (by default) on the Wii. I turned 'Autoconnect 24' off and -- hey presto -- this cable worked perfectly with my SCART auto-switcher.

Although the controls seem a little complex at first (purely for the reason that there are so many different moves), it doesn't take long to get used to. I own a few other wii games, and can confidently say that this is the best of its kind - a must buy.

Really enjoying this game at the moment. A simple premise, coupled with well-executed controls and well-designed levels make this fun from the start. Taking those 3 in order:
Premise: The aim is to get your blob of mercury from the start of the 'maze' to the finish, overcoming various obstacles on the way. Sounds simple because it is, and the game is all the better for it.
Controls: Only played this with the Wiimote. You hold it in two hands like a traditional joypad, and tilt it forward, backward, left and right. This tilts the maze, and moves your blob (or blobs) around.
Levels: Some strokes of genius on show. Lots of obstacles, including crumbling blocks, repellers, attractors, ice, travelators etc etc. Levels are very very ... Read More:
