I bought this game hoping that the experience from 2007 would be improved and at first glance, I thought this could be the case. However you have to complete a few practice sessions before you can start the game. All well and good I hear you cry, as practice makes perfect. However it appears that you cannot skip the practice lessons and must complete all practice levels before you can start playing proper and some of the practice shots can take quite some time to complete before you can start playing the game proper.
The game mode itself is very good and you soon master the shots, however one draw back, every shot hit seems to be at 110% (on a full swing), meaning shots overhit and chips out of the rough. Play is quick and graphics ... Read More:

What a waste of money! I agree with all the negative comments above - this game is the worst Wii game I have. I can't believe that they would allow a load of American questions on the trivia bit when this is coming to an English market - that has to be one of the most ridiculous decisions ever made. The games are boring and there wasn't one I enjoyed that much. I did try to play it again with friends to see if I liked it any more in a group, but I didn't. Don't buy this - you will regret it. Mine's going on an auction site as soon as I get round to it.

Very simply it does what it says on the box. Inserted batteries, worked first time no setting up required, seems to work better than the original sensor.

I know there are a lot of reviews on here saying that this game is boring and rubbish, well I didn't find that at all. Sure the one player mode may get boring after a while but whenever did find a quiz game that was fun to play just by yourself. I got this game yesterday and have played it at least three times with my boyfriend, some of the modes are better than others, but we found very entertaining and the question certainly weren't too easy and were very up to date.

This game is sooo funny! especially when playing against other people. It's nice to see a game that makes good use of the Wii controller as you use it to chop, stir, toss, peel etc. Make sure you are sitting in a good position as it can get frustrating when you are madly trying to stir your soup and its not picking up your actions. The only fault i would say is that cooking mama's voice has a terrible accent! i would of preferred they had changed the voice for the UK market as sometimes its difficult to understand what she has said. I guess that does add to the comedy value of this game however. Who would of thought a game about cooking would be so fun!. I do question the lastability of the game - there is only so much 'cooking' you want to do in a gaming session hence why i have ... Read More:

There's one thing you need to know about Mario Party 8 before you buy it - be prepared to do a lot of reading during the game! The game has an incredibly irritating interface whereby it bombards you with constant information throughout the game which can only be cleared by pressing the A key. Consequently, you spend most of the time repeatedly pressing the A key to get rid of the constant barrage of messages. In fact before the game even starts you are forced to read through an endless parade of information boxes that end up making things more confusing and leaving you wondering when on earth this game is going to start. For a game aimed at kids as well as adults I fail to see how any child would have the patience to read through so much claptrap before the game begins, it really ... Read More:

I have heard of but not watched the TV series. I bought the game simply because there is precious little to choose from for the Wii console yet. I've really enjoyed the Harry Potter game, my partner spent hours on Resident Evil IV. Both these other games offer 360 degree game play and reasonable freedom to move in a range of directions, and to choose the order in which you tackle or ignore certain game options.
Both of us really disliked this game. We found ourselves being forced to search limited areas for obvious clues. Taking these clues back to the labs and using the equipment was no fun either - it's fairly obvious which machines to use, there are limited options here. The worst part was when you tried to interview someone. The game gives you a small choice of quetsions ... Read More:
